The Vineyard Church — Attraction in Mishawaka

We really enjoyed our visit here. We had the privilege of hearing pastor Steve speak. He was funny, honest, open and explained things well so we could all understand. The Vineyard seems very close as a community of people. It isn't some large commercialized church that appears to be a sales scheme like Granger community. It is a warm and close environment. A couple of perks are that the coffee is free and upon signing up to be a member, you receive one free ticket a person to a church event or class that they offer. Also, our son really enjoyed the kids program they have. They send them home with Bible School homework so they really help your children dig in and understand. They have three services on Sunday. The Vineyard on Grape road is just a screen so if you want the real thing, make sure to go to Jackson Rd. I also think it was cool that they don't pass around an offering plate. They do, however, have boxes for offering around the church. The 3 service times at the Jackson Road location and the 3 service times at the Grape road location are different so make sure to look into that...

When we were first looking for a new church home we really wanted to find one closer to home. We tried out multiple different churches but kept coming back to The Vineyard. Now we've been making the 35-minute drive for a few years. The sermons are great, Pastor Mark and Pastor Steve explain the biblical teachings in a way that you can relate to. So many times we've driven home from church and had a great discussion about the sermon and how it applies to our life. Our children that are in their early twenties enjoy it just as much as we do. Everyone is welcome and accepted there, no matter your background. This church actually practices what they preach, they are the hands and feet of Jesus. One of the most judgiest groups of people from the pastor to his flock I have ever encountered in my life. I'm not going to get into the certain details as my fiance would love to me to do I'm sure but if you're looking for good people who care about the everyday man and bringing them closer to the Lord this is not the place for you I put in over 2 weeks of thinking about this I wasn't going to write anything but they have a 5 out of 5 review and they don't deserve it. It may look good from the outside in but when they are hit with real-world situations they turn their backs on people. That being said a lot of their followers seem to be somewhat brainwashed almost more of a cult than anything else but hey that is just my experience in at least I was offered a cup of coffee thanks a lot not that I was expecting a thing...
