Really???? I've posted this story to everything I can, including the local news.
Dear Meijer, Today my husband and I was walking into Meijer on 331 in Mishawaka and as we were walking in 2 men in their 20's was pushing a cart completely full of merchandise and on the bottom they had a little baby girl walker. They walked right out the Door. My husband Larry followed them out to take a picture of their License plate next thing I knew. The passenger of the 2 that was loading the trunk of the car began pushing and punched my husband. Then the two fell to the ground. At that time a employee came up and said break it up or he was going to call the police. I said call the police. These 2 are stealing a cart full of items and at that time several employees just walked away ! I just just had a Hysterectomy surgery. I walked in to see if management was there. He was and was just standing there not calling the police. I asked if cameras wereworking? He told me NO . The 2 men speed away and my husband walked back into the store he called the Mishawaka Police. MATTHEW k Store Director called us liers that we even called the police .When the police did arrive Matthew K didnt even walk over to speak to the police or did he even ask if my husband was okay . He just stood at the North end of the store. As we were speaking to the police at the south end of the store . We gave the Police the license plate and pictures of the men and their vehicle.. Never again was Manager Matthew K seen again .. Employees said they are instructed to allow shoplifters to leave without incident and to do absolutely nothing. Just let them walk away ! I understand you dont want people hurt, but today was so uncalled for the way we were treated !! We wont shop at anouther Meijer Again.. SINCERELY LARRY AND...
Read moreThis store for the most part always have what I’m lookin for but today I went in doing multiple instacart orders.. there was only 2 lanes open with a bunch of employees walking around patrolling so I took my 50 units to self check out and tried to sort my items out.. next thing I notice a heavy set lady is standing behind me first I thought she was gonna help me with my order but she doesn’t she just stands there watching me bag my items she stood over me the entire time . I expressed that I’m doing an instacart order and she strugged me off and continued watching without offering any help! I told her I’m going to go to a check out lane she said they will open up a lane jsut for me. That made me very mad because that shows I was being watched! For shopping ! There was long lines of people at the 2 check out lanes that were open but yet they told me they would open up a line jsut for me I believe it was because I asked to speak to an manager which did nothing to make me feel comfortable. The cashier which was one of the employees that was standing around chatting with the lady that was watching me . The cashier bagged my items and helped me sort them im assuming this was an apology for her rude co worker. Moral of the story this meijer made me feel very uncomfortable and I won’t spend my money here...
Read moreI wish I could give this place 0 stars. Just before Christmas, I was with my 11 month old and the store was jammed. The self check out line was all the way in the freezer section. I got in line, not realizing the self check out is a 20 item limit until I got to my register. Walmart, Martins and Kroger do not have a limit, so I never would’ve considered this to be a problem. I also typically do my shopping at a different Meijer, where there is also no limit. I had already waited 20 minutes in line and with a fussy baby, I was not about to leave my register, especially considering I only had probably 30 items. The clerk managing the self check out comes over screaming at me telling me that nobody has time to wait for me to ring up all my items, and pushes my cart out of the way to cancel out my screen. I questioned him, in disbelief of how he was treating me. He proceeds to empty out all my bags and throw them back in my cart (where my baby was sitting). He yells at me to get out of his checkout area and find another line. This aggressive behavior had me in tears as I wheeled my cart to another check out line to start the process all over. My husband had to call to complain because I was so upset I could barely speak. As a previous weekly Meijer customer, I will never be returning and will shop elsewhere...
