I'm giving this park 3 stars because the Meramec Greenway walking trail is closed and that was my purpose for visiting. That being said, though, I can see that this park is really quite beautiful and I completely understand its appeal to fisherfolk. The disc golf course looked busy when I was there, so this must be a popular place for that activity too. I'll be back on a better day when I've got more time to explore some of the natural trails in the woods - or when Great Rivers Greenways reopens a new trail route. Photos are attached showing Greenway trail closures and obstacles. Oh - other reason for 3 stars is no toilet, only a non-too-clean portapotty.

So this is a small park next to the Meremac River with a large, open play field, a picnic shelter (possibly more), a walking path that’s part of the Great Rivers Greenway system and a small lake. We enjoyed taking are dogs to run leash-free along the lake. There’s a dirt walking path you can walk down to watch to ensure the dog’s safety. There’s also a large berm between the water and the road, so you don’t have to worry about traffic.

The lake is relatively scenic, but most of the walking trail doesn't give many views. The paved trail has some shade, which is nice. Unfortunately the section in the north part of the park is closed indefinitely due to flood damage. The dirt trail in the woods is narrow and overgrown, looks like it would be tick heaven.

Love the walking trails, views of the lake a river, and the 18 holes of disc golf.

Walking trails: easy going - flat, mostly paved. Further back by the river they are no longer paved but still relatively easy travel. Saw an owl and a pheasant by the river.

Disc golf - good course for newer players. Mostly flat, tees and paths are well marked. Front nine is a good mix of open holes and tighter, wooded ones. Back nine more tight and wooded. Some par 4s on slightly longer holes. Only one hole with a threat of possible water.

Worth a visit for a flat walk/run, or a round of disc golf, both with nice...

Frisbee golf course, bike trail and fishing right near the parking lot. One parking lot about halfway through the park and the other one at the end of the road. The first one was the disc golf course, walking trails and a large pavilion. the second one was near the water convenient fishing and a bike trail. A small park with a big feel and a pretty steady crowd as well. Also there was a soccer games going on in the background you could hear on the loudspeaker making it...
