Orange Cliffs Overlook is located almost at the south end of the Grand View Point Road in the Island In The Sky District of the Canyonlands National Park near Moab in the State of Utah. After parking your vehicle (there is a limited number of spaces, around 8) it is an easy 0.1-mile out-and-back trail that leads to the stunning panoramic view of the Orange Cliffs. It is a very short out-and-back walk along a dirt trail that gradually leads downhill to the edge of the canyon. Hikers will find panoramic views at the end of the trail with a westward-facing vista that encompasses vast swaths of Canyonlands National Park's interior of the Upper and Lower West Basin Zones. The overlook is thus named because of the color of the cliffs. Visitors need to be careful not to venture too close to the rim of the cliff for fear of the dangers of falling over. If visitors also want to visit the Grand View Point Overlook, which is only a very short distance to the south at the end of the Grand View Point Road, I suggest that you should leave your vehicle parked at the Orange Cliffs Overlook parking, since the Grand View Point Overlook is a very popular site and parking is...

The Orange Cliffs Overlook is just north of the Grand View Point at the southern end of the Scenic Drive in the Island in the Sky section of Canyonlands National Park.

Along with the generally outstanding landscape and land formations, this is one of several incredible viewpoints to enjoy during drives through...

Beautiful views as everywhere in Canyonlands. We visited in April, weather wasn't the best, overcast, cold, windy with few sprinkles of rain and in spite of all that we weren't able to find parking at the Grand View Point Overlook parking area. Orange cliffs is just a short walk from that parking area so I highly recommend you park here if you're planning on taking the Grand View Point Overlook hike, because there are no views from the road there, you...
