Highway 47 on Molokai ends at Palaau State Park. It is high enough to be relatively cool and a short walk provides you with an outstanding view of the Kalaupapa Peninsula. once the home of an infamous leper colony made world famous by Father, now Saint Damien and now part of the National Park Service. Also nearby is the well-known phallic rock. The towering iron wood trees provide protection from any strong trade winds, the park is a very nice picnic area.

The walk was a nice swift hike. I would say this hike is easy to moderate to hard depending on one's physical activity. It can be bumpy and rough with inclines going uphill. Going back down was easier than venturing up. I went on a right after it rained day so wear your sneakers with nice grip to keep from slipping on pine needles. It was a good 10min hike up and 10min hike down.

Not too bad of a walk. I tried to get my lady to touch the rock so the legend could help a brother out, but unfortunately she refused to touch it. Thus I'm still childless. But still not too bad of a little hike, nice to get out in nature.

Nice outdoor area however it’s not the trail next-door. This trail is unpaved goes up and down as rocks, etc. it is a natural trail with beautiful trees and really cool rocks. It’s a really nice walk out there. There’s a large sign explaining the rock and the legends that go with it. We enjoyed our walk out and back. Thank you for a...
