The Barn at Mirror Lake — Attraction in Mondovi

My husband and I are still wondering how we scored the most amazing wedding reception venue we could have ever dreamed of. We had our wedding reception at The Barn at Mirror Lake in October 2019, and we may be biased, but truly think this is the most beautiful wedding venue in the world!!!

We were 95% sure about a venue in Eau Claire until we took the short drive to Mondovi and changed our mind in an instant. We have a very modern farmhouse, "Joanna Gaines" style, and the Barn IS IT! This is not your average wedding barn, this is truly a modern style event space with a full bar and unique and picturesque characteristics you cannot find in Western Wisconsin. Some of our favorites included the vintage china, beautiful linens and chairs, the haymow, the most adorable bathrooms, etc. Plus, the view of the lake and the scenery is truly breathtaking.

Not to mention, Heidi and her staff are AMAZING! I'm sad the wedding planning is over because they are so fabulous to work with. We had a lot of unique and Pinterest ideas for our vintage, yet modern farmhouse style and they made each one of our ideas happen and we are forever grateful. Every couple has a different style and vision for their wedding and Heidi TRULY gives you the time and help you need to make your perfect day imaginable. You are not just another wedding on another weekend to her and her staff, your day will be extremely special and perfectly you and your spouses because of them.

To all those couples concerned about the distance from the surrounding areas, the drive to Mondovi is totally worth it and so is Heidi as the venue owner. The multiple transportation options for your wedding party and guests make the 15-20 minute drive (from Eau Claire at least) 1,000% worth it. We were told on multiple occasions that the Barn looked like it was straight from Pinterest. I only wish we could have been guests at our own wedding because of how amazing the venue and staff was. Words could never truly express how wonderful Heidi and The Barn at Mirror Lake were for our special day. Everything about our venue and host was beyond what I could have imagined. The Barn at Mirror Lake is a gorgeous venue with plenty of space (and animals) which allowed our guests to roam, relax, and enjoy the day as much as we did. Pinball the calf was a huge hit with his mischievous, endearing antics. Our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, wedding dinner, and reception were all at The Barn. Organizing everything was a breeze, especially with Heidi’s expertise and amicable nature. Speaking of Heidi, she is the wedding expert/planner/personal attendant I didn’t know I absolutely needed! (It’s a smaller, simpler wedding I said; I don’t need that much extra help I thought.) Throughout the year and a half of planning, Heidi answered all my questions, brought up different details I never considered, and orchestrated my wedding day like a symphony. From the beginning, I enjoyed her as a local businesswoman with her no-nonsense, no hidden fee venue pricing. The owner was super helpful in the planning process. She was happy to answer any questions we had about logistics for the big day so that everything could go seamlessly. The fact that we didn’t have to worry about anything was probably the best part of the experience; we could just enjoy everything that we had spent the previous year planning for. All of our relatives & friends LOVED the location/barn setting with all of the animals, we had many people tell us they had never experienced a wedding like that. And you can’t beat having a cow greet your guests as they arrive! Being able to spend the night in their renovated grain bin was the perfect ending to the night.
