Mondovi Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Mondovi

My wife asked the waitress how the breakfast steak was, that she likes medium rare, and she knows that with thin steaks they can be easily over done. Waitress said she would let the cook know and make sure steak was done correctly. Breakfast came and was good. All was well we thought. Then the owner, who was cooking that morning, which we were not aware of, not that it should matter. Came over to our table and told us he was insulted that we would question his cooking ability. And how dare we question him, and made a big scene, and told us off. Needless to say, we will never be back, or will we refer the restaurant anymore. I have heard that the owners temper was awful to customers, and worst for employees. But have never seen it till today. You would think that a business owner would be more interested in his customers than a fantasy slight of his cooking ability... sad...I suggest staying away from this...

We walked in an hour before the closing time. The open sign was on, people were seated and eating. As soon as we walked in they told us they weren’t open. When we mentioned the sign said they were still open for another hour the hostess told us they decided to close early… on a Friday. We had just been driving for about 2 hours and just wanted to have a hot sit down meal. Instead we grabbed pizza from the gas station...

Great food great service went to marten transportation my husband job to get another truck we had been threw hell and back with truck we came from we're we r from fortworth tx all the way there wonted a good home cook meal we got everything we needed and more come to find out our waitress was from fortworth tx to so we really felt like we were at home thank y'all great Hospitality to ( The Easters) marten...
