This is quite simply one of the best spots for a publicly accessible skyline view of Madison. I’m a sunset enthusiast and lifelong Madisonian and this is my favorite spot. Here are some photos from the last year. The park is small and perfect. Now no one come here so I can have the place to myself! There is no parking lot, no playground, limited seating and and no restroom facilities so bear that in mind.

I would not call this a park. It is just a narrow path down to Lake Monona. It does have a slightly elevated concrete slab with a couple of chairs, a bench, and a wooden pier you can walk down to. If you are being the Lake Monona bike loop, it's not a bad place to take a break.

great little park- if you want to watch the sun set on the capitol, this is the place. lots of benches, chairs, and tables. a dock you can go down in the summer to stick your feet in the water.

Very nice place to watch the sunset. View of Madison Skyline is fantastic. Nice gradual stairway down to the dock where people can put their feet in the water. Picnic tables allow for small Gatherings away from each other. Two chairs next to each other where couples can enjoy the evening and chat. Table of four settings where people can have a conversation in a tight group. Green area of space where you can lay a blanket out and enjoy the...

What a treasure tucked away from the world, almost feel guilty spilling the beans about it! This place has peace written all over it. From the deck to the rocks, even out on the dock, there's a cozy nook for everyone. An absolute zen zone right on the banks of Lake Monona. You've gotta...
