The ownership and staff are very nice, Superbly welcoming and overall very friendly.

The store/wine tasting area is ok. Not special. Three stools pulled up to a bar area.

The server/hostesses were nice and told stories while allowing guests to taste wine. The wine samples were truly the smallest I have ever been served at a tasting. Less than one ounce per glass. This was slightly disappointing. No tour of the winery was available.

The wines are good and do include reds and whites. Most were too sweet for my liking. More like desert wines than table wines that would be served with a meal.

The wine tasting is inside the wine store. Attached is a religious room with dioramas about Israel, WW2 concentration camps, Anne Frank and about 1000 religious books. Attached to this is a large wedding venue.

Beyond the main building one can approach vines where some of the grapes are grown. Most grapes for the wines come from far outside of the property grounds.

We reserved the horse feathers treehouse for a mid-week overnight. Check-in was 4pm however the treehouse was not cleaned and ready. I checked at the counter at 3, 4, 430and 5pm each time told not yet. This was surprising considering they repeatedly informed us of penalties if we were not out of the unit by 12 noon. Only two cabins/treehouses were rented the night before so it took over 5.5 hours to clean and prep two rooms???

The location is interesting. One drives through a subdivision of older rundown/vacant/boarded up homes to get to the Treehouse Vineyard. Kind of a let down before you arrive at a roughly 40 acre farm/vineyard/family compound. Only about 10 acres is currently utilized by the vineyard/treehouse area.

The treehouse was nice. A living room 1/2 bath and kitchenette on the first floor. Stairs to the second floor to one bedroom and a full bathroom. Full amenities were present including a fridge, utensils and air conditioning units. A very nice covered deck wrapped the treehouse on two sides. A very jenky propane grill was present. Knobs did not control the flame. It looked as if it had never been cleaned. You started the grill with a long lighter as the button starter was broken.

The weather was nice a couple of light rain shower lots of sunshine and cool breezes.

We saw bats, deer, raccoons and heard lots of frogs and other woodland creatures.

Overall a nice concept that is growing and over time will overcome the minor shortcomings.

Go ? Sure midweek for a discounted overnight. The full rack rate would be disappointing for families…fine for a large...

Instead of calling back. I opted to do a review. The background….I regularly attend parties here that I setup and have at least, very 30 people every time I show up and all purchase bottles, beer and tables and store items when there is music. Sometimes I go during the week and spend no less than 100 dollars. I had not been lately because of illness. The issue. I went last night had a very large party. Mind you had we not went there literally would have been maybe 20 people. I called earlier the same day to see if they had tables the response was three left place and would be packed go ahead and get a table. Told her I had party coming in and she said the tables are not setup yet she will try to seat (only reason I bought an extra table she said it was random setup and no special request were made.) during the night I Notice the extra table was missing from the other six, it was in the back of the building and I asked for refund Some had taken the table and I couldn’t sit separately from my party. I was told no, then she said people requested, I was told differently earlier. Also in the times past told to move the place cards in order to be seated together with my large party. The inconsistencies about the table seat goes on and on and on…. Needless to say I did not receive a refund. Telling lies to get regular customers who spend hundreds of dollars is bad business. I been going here for years and owner’s are a good family but the staff is rude, unfriendly, lie, and are inconsistent their entire staff energy is not worth the money or effort. I will never take a large party there again. Also I spent 150.00 last night NOT including the table. The biggest problem was not the price (40 dollars) it was where they seated me then said because I reserved late told me 2 different stories about the setup BUT there was literally no one there but the big party I was with which was 60 people, more but danced, because there wasn’t room for rest of the party to sit because again my table was taken in the back. As stated before I will not entertain, encourage, attend anything there again due to inconsistent...

So after years of dreaming of going here.. I finally took the plunge! Now when I say plunge it wasn't overnight at the tree house which is what I really have always wanted to do but they've consistently been booked a year out - which I completely understand. However, I talked it up to my visitors who have been thinking about relocating to the Charlotte area, so we made the hour trip. I understand their website says the tour is anywhere from 20-25 minutes long but it was actually over before I had a chance to check in on social media.. it was in fact 8 minutes long!! I could not believe it. The young lady spoke so fast we could not keep up with what was what. We stood outside on a hill right outside their store and she pointed at where everything was instead of walking us down to the areas and showing us the different grape vines, see the scene, or walk and explore any of the tree houses. It was really disappointing. Unfortunately, the tasting went just the same. A different woman guiding the tasting even started out saying we wouldn't like the wine, and that they're all really sweet. She wasn't wrong.. and I had never spat out wine before, I just couldn't swallow it. It was so sweet my teeth felt like they were getting cavities. When we didn't drink them fast enough she skipped us in the next tasting when normally tastings have you swirl the wine, smell it, talk about the history and you have a good 2-3 minutes sampling the wine without feeling rushed, this was not the case here. For someone who drove an hour each way and the service that was provided we did not purchase a bottle nor continue our afternoon hanging out in a tree house which was the original plan, we wanted to leave as soon as possible. I will say there are dogs that live at the property and that was the most welcoming part of the...

Cute, quaint little vineyard full of these curiously sweet grapes (that I’d honestly never heard of before Saturday) called muscadine grapes. We first attended an entertaining tasting session featuring eight of their wines and led by Marietta (sp) who regaled us with a high-level history of the vineyard, it’s owners, it’s treehouses, and why every wine has a unique name. Afterward, we walked freely about the vineyard for a bit. The land at Treehouse is truly something for such a small vineyard: Several acres of vines, space for wine making and bottling, space for a couple of horses, a concert pavilion, a gift shop, plenty of parking, plenty of seating, space for parties/events, and — of course — the treehouses. We were really there because we’d rented the “Date Night” treehouse. As a happy coincidence, we got to watch a wedding ceremony from 30 feet in the air in rocking chairs while sipping on their Windy Hill and snacking on cheese, grapes, hummus, and walnuts. And the weather was perfect. What a glorious Saturday. Needless to say, we GREATLY enjoyed our time at Treehouse.
