We thoroughly enjoyed our stop here. There is no charge to go through the museum, but you can make a donation if you like. This was full of the history of this area. There is also a backyard tour where you can see mining equipment and other items. This location also has information and brochures for the surrounding areas and states. There are restrooms and places to sit and relax. There is even a picnic table of you want to sit and enjoy lunch or a snack. The staff was very helpful and very nice.

Located just a couple of miles from the North East entrance to Yellowstone Park. Closest entrance to Lamar Valley where you find it full of Bison. Staff was very knowledgeable concerning the area including Yellowstone Park. Recommend stopping in and picking up a state map of Wyoming and Montana.

Helpfull staff. But its quite small. Worth a visit for the free wifi. And what bit of history is available. They have a lot of great literature on the area. A mix of free... and some for sale. The place is an oasis in a sea of no cell service.

It has free wifi!!! (Only service around) and a telephone!! It has 2 staff members that make you feel so welcome, they will answer any question and help get you what you need( whether it's directions or reservations in the area of Yellowstone). Lots of free maps and pamphlets on things to visit in that part of our beautiful country. They also have a wonderful small museum of Cooke City, that everyone who drives through should stop in and see. So even if you're just passing through, you should stop in and orient you're self to what's going on...

A quaint little place that showcases the life in not-so distant past. The (elderly) gentleman there was very eager in answering questions from the tourists, including mine. He was equally helpful in suggesting where we could spend some time before we could've checked in to our hotel. This is the only place where I could use Internet in the whole town. No wonder there were folks in the patio with laptops almost all throughout the day.

I donated $5 for the place is very convenient and helpful to tourists. Admission and a few available...
