I have been here two times now and Im not giving it a third chance. There are some things being done right but also a lot more to be desired.
The space is big and there is a lot of product on offer, there's plenty of tables now that they have expanded and it is quite clean. The big let down is customer service. The first time we went the employee working behind the counter was very nice to us, however they didn't stop players from acting inappropriately. I went there today and the two employees behind the counter were extremely stand-offish and looked at us like we had grown a third head. Even when my boyfriend tried to give them a compliment about their store they just rudely shut him down, and about threw the Pokémon box he was wanted down on the counter. When he asked about a specific card, he didn't even look, he just gave him a rather rude "No." And went back to talking to the other employee.
I'm done with White Flag Games and it's terrible customer service, take your money elsewhere or at least to a place where the employees are going...
Read moreFriendly staff who will take the time to get to know you, is knowledgeable about games, and if they are in the middle of playing one, will always jump up to help the customer. They have many themed nights, Pokemon Tuesday, D&D Wednesday, Friday Night Magic, open board game night Saturdays, etc. Even when they are slow there is always something to do. I usually go on Saturday's to play board games with others. Plenty of games to learn and enjoy and they provide free pizza. Can't go wrong with that.
Sometimes they are more expensive than Amazon (though pre-ordering a game always gets you a straight up 10% discount, so I try to do that), which is my only complaint, but it's usually pretty close and throwing an extra dollar or two for a friendly, local business who will treat you right is the right thing to do. I've lived in many different cities over the past 10 years and I do not take a FLGS...
Read moreMy family played games every Saturday night and often during the week. We haven't returned yet due to COVID, but when we wanted to buy games while in quarantine they went above and beyond. We were able to order the games over the phone, they sanitized everything, and even left a few rolls of toilet paper for us. My child has food allergies and the staff and those who show up to play are extremely respectful of that. We had to pull him out of public school bcs they weren't willing to take the simple measures others do on request of the owners. In the past, a few times, when games were out of stock everywhere, they managed to get multiple demos and actually put the game together from those pieced together....
