Going to share my "I'm from out of state" experience. I came here on a Tuesday evening to place a to-go order for my mother and I.
I placed the order at approximately 4:35pm, you know, before the rush. As soon as I placed it, the crowd started to arrive. Glad I got there before, yeah?
Order: 2 carnitas tacos, 1 cocktail de camerones, 1 chimi de Acapulco, and 1 order of guac.
Legit that was it.
So after being told it would be about 15-20 minutes, I gave consideration for the crowds and waited until the group of 21 came in (40 minutes now) before saying "Excuse me?" to the manager on the floor.
"So, I'm just checking on my order. I've been waiting a good 40+ minutes and still haven't gotten it."
"What did you order?"
I began to list the items, "I got a couple of tacos de carnitas, cocktail de camerones..." and before I could finish, he walks off to go 'check.'
He comes back and the bag looks pretty bare, plus I can see red liquid (cocktail juices) in the bag. I began to walk out and then decided to do a quick look. Yup. Missing half my order: No chimi, no guac. I walk back through the doors just to get the manager's attention again. "Hey, yeah, so it's missing half the order."
"What did you order?"
😶 So, assumption here, but feels like he just went back there the first time and told them to whip my order up real quick, thus the cruddy job of throwing it together. So I said "It was ,,__... Can't you just look at the ticket?"
"I don't have the ticket."
Oh. Okay. Cool. So he goes over to the tablet and looks up my order. Still no apology. Nothing. "Also, can you please make sure they put my cocktail in the correct container? Sorry, but you see it's spilling out. (Which he replied after seeing it 'yeah, be careful) There's no way you would accept that. Why should I?"
He takes it to the back, 5ish minutes later, he bring up my order, sits it on the gumball machine, and says "Would you like to check it?"
"I would love to check it!" (yes cynically because at this time I've been waiting for quite some time without apology and am irritated.
Lo and behold. Wrong again. They gave me cheese sauce instead of guacamole. I get it. Not a big deal, but not what I ordered and I paid 40+ bucks for this meal and waited for a good minute. Can you seriously not get my order right!? He went to the back and came back with it. I guess third time was the charm. Photo to the left, is the cocktail in a smaller version of the first container, placed inside the original container. The original is to the right, with all the juices that spilled out the first time. Guess they never heard if putting a cocktail in a foam cup like every other hispanic restraunt. Can you imagine the...
Read moreI have been coming here for some time, normally great service and food.
Tonight i waited 15 minutes to be seated with nobody in front of me, at least 7 workers looked at me and didn't greet me. Finally after a larger party walked in behind me i was seated.
I dine out alone frequently and only at Los Patios am I consistently seated in a back corner booth. After being seated I waited 10 minutes until I got chips. Five minutes later i was asked if i wanted water. In total to being seated I waited 18 minutes to get a water.
At that time a waiter asked if i was ready to order. I ordered one taco, an enchilada and a Chalupa. 30 minutes later i received my food. The food was soggy and wet on the outside, lettuce wilted and dry as can be biting into it. I had no silverware or napkins to eat with. I waited an additonial 7 minutes for utensils and napkins.
I informed the waiter that i would pay for my adult drink and nothing else. He said abruptly go talk to the manager. At the front desk I asked for a manger and attempted to explain why i would not pay for the food. A few moments later my waiter decided he was going to interrupt and tell the manager what he thought.
At the end I was told that if i come back and I see a line to assume that they are too busy for additional customers. I paid for my...
Read moreWe have been going to Los Patios in Mooresville for a long time and generally have had a good experience. This week was eye opening though. As we were checking out, my friend had a medical emergency - where they passed out and were unresponsive for a bit. We had one employee check immediately while we were still trying to figure out what happened and then left quickly. Before we had even gotten my friend off the floor, a different employee started harassing me for the payment on their bill (we paid separately and the rest of us had already paid). They were far more interested in getting paid for my friend's meal than my friend's wellbeing. We were there for probably 30 more minutes sitting at a table waiting on family members as my friend was still a little confused, but was not wanting to go to the hospital. And no, this was not due to drinking too much. We were not approached by staff at all after that initial check-in (and harassment for payment) while still somewhat unresponsive and on the floor. While medical emergencies don't happen frequently, I would not recommend having one at...
