Beyond an amazing time! My 15-year-old son's face was smiling... no... BEAMING all day! And at the end, when we got into the car, he said, "This day has been better than any of the days we had last year during last year's vacation," and that said a lot!! My two sisters, my son, and myself spent THE DAY at Grand Vue. We did, I believe, all 8 ziplines, and those views and experiences couldn't have been better. Our two guides were unbelievable. (Jack Nasty and Captain America!) I mean, they were funny, personable, kind, encouraging when the going got tough (aerial course), and the pinnacle of professionalism when it came to safety and making you feel secure. After we did the ziplines, we did the aerial course. Now, some honesty here... I am no spring chicken, yet I was able to do the entire course! So let's explore that. Want to get deep and really think about things? You can make your experience at Grand Vue what you want to make of it. My 15 year old was there for the fun and the excitement. I was there to challenge myself; even though I am in my young 50s, I am still able to be active and do those things that my son was able to do with ease. My sister, when nerves would hit her, she persevered, (again, shout-out to Jacob there) and overcame. So you walk away with a sense of accomplishment and belief in yourself. But, again, you don't have to take it to a level like that, you can just go and have fun and get some thrills in for the day! If you decide (which you should) to spend some time at Grand Vue, I would seriously consider planning for a few hours and make the most of your day. We ended on the Giant Swing, and that was a perfect ending to a day that words cannot describe. Smiley also guided us on the aerial course, and early in the morning, I saw her interacting and guiding 9 and 7ish year old siblings. It was adorable, and quite a few spectators were cheering on those two young-uns, and Smiley was amazing with them. Speaking of camaraderie, we met strangers who zipped with us, and we made friends! I mean, this was an amazing day, with soooo many tangential aspects that it was 6 hours that my family will NOT soon forget. One of my sisters is not physically able to do zips and the aerial course, so it should be noted there was ample places for her to sit and appreciate gorgeous views! She had no problems with any boredom or anything like that. She talked with people, they have a couple games there to play, and she had a great day herself. I realize this is a long review and many may not even read this far down. But if you are still reading and even contemplating spending some time at Grand Vue, please do so. You will not regret it. Sooooo much they have to offer and soooo much you can personally take away from this day to reflect on for days, weeks to come. My rating: 22 out...
Read moreThis was such a wonderful zip lining experience I will never forget. The guide staff were very professional and patient. I was excited to zip line but when I saw how big and high it actually was I was really scared and hesitant. They even waited for me to work up my nerve because I seriously didn’t think I could do it. It was higher than I ever imagined. I actually felt foolish. They were so patient with me and where great at calming my nerves. The one guy even prayed with me and I just felt I was in good hands. After it was all said and done, I would love to go back there and do this again. When we went, it was memorial day weekend. The views of West Virginia were so we’re beautiful. I could just imagine how beautiful the sites would be in the fall. It was 10 zip lines altogether and it went from close distant range to the longest zip line range which was a humongous distance it seemed. That’s how I was able to work up the nerve to do the last humongous zip line. You worked your way up to the big one. Sorry to say that this review is very long overdue. Our trip was in 2016. But I can still remember many wonderful details. I will definitely be looking into going again someday hopefully soon. I only live about three hours away. The cabin we stayed in were so very nice and clean. it was a few families in one large comfortable four-bedroom cabin. It was an all around very wonderful experience that I’ll...
Read moreAbsolutely had an incredible time at Grand Vue Adventures in Moundsville, WV! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of unforgettable. The scenery was breathtaking, the activities were thrilling, and the whole place had such a welcoming, adventurous vibe.
What really set the experience apart, though, was the amazing staff. Huge shoutout to Kylie, Nathan, and Britt—they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we had the best time possible. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and just all-around awesome people to be around. Whether it was helping us gear up for the ziplines or guiding us through the adventure course, they made it fun, safe, and stress-free.
