This is our second time staying at Grand Vue with our RV. The first time was in October of 2024 and the weather wasn't the best. My wife and I went to the Moundsville Penitentiary and the Mounds museum. We also were able to take advantage of the group of locals that all get together on a Saturday night to look at the stars with telescopes. So this time we decided to get reservations from July 2nd to July 6th. Since we stayed 4 night we were able to use the pool and miniature golf for free, received 25% off zip lining. There were 4th of July activities that were also fun. We enjoyed find the flag hunt. We also rented a golf cart, and received a large bundle of firewood and kindling for $20. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Every staff member we saw or talked to would wave and ask us if we needed anything. Even the young staff members doing the weed eating were very polite. We also took advantage of the free shuttle. Our driver was Ralph, he was excellent and safe driver and was very knowledgeable of the history of the local area. Dylan and Colton at the zip lining was great also. My wife and I were all set to go. My PTSD kicked in and Dylan and Colton made sure I was comfortable and told me not to feel bad if I couldn't do it. They said atleast I tried. This is by far one of the best rv parks we have stayed at. The sites are large plenty of water pressure and our power didn't even flicker with 40 rvs running ACs. My hat is off to the entire staff of Grand Vue Park. You all need to teach classes to others on how to run a park! Oh I almost forgot. The park looked amazing! Your maintenance crew does a great job with the lawn, and up keep of the park. We will...
Read moreThis place is so unorganized and so unprofessional. I bought a Living Social promotion for this place on 9/24/2015 that same day I called them to make a reservation for 10/16/2015. I gave them all my information the asked for and then I was told i had to wait for a conformation call closer to the date by 10/8/2015 I had not received a call, so I proceeded to call them to touch base. The rude employee I spoke to said they were still waiting for another group to confirm and that they COULD NOT "assure" me that the tour would happen that day. I explained to the rep. that I was flying in to Pittsburgh, PA from AZ and then I would have to drive about 1.5 hours to get to Grand Vue Park so I needed to know sooner rather later if I needed to change my plans and attempt to get a refund. She told me I would have to wait for them to call me. I asked when I would receive a call and all she said wad some time next week... so on 10/12/2015 I waited till 1 hour prior to closing and called once again and spoke with Heidi who was nice, but when she checked on my reservation it wasn't even in the system she how ever didn't offer another reservation or anything !!!! I explained to her once again I am flying cross country I cant reschedule I asked to speak to a manager and she informed me all the managers had left for the day except for Craig i asked to speak to him, however he has "stepped out" for a few minutes so i was transferred to a voice mail. I still haven't received a call from Craig! I called living social and was able to get a refund and I will be taking my...
Read moreRented a traditional cabin for a week and all Grand Vue staff were sooo friendly & caring! We liked the balance betw. rustic & modernized, easy camping in a beautiful park. Our family enjoyed 4br and 2 bath w stocked kitchen, air conditioning, sheets & towels provided, stacking washer & dryer and firewood . No stairs for Grandma in traditional cabin. Two beds in ea bedroom. Games and books on local history are a thoughtful touch.
After reviewing all info on their website, I called reservations & talked thru floorplans since they stay open late til 8pm. Autumn emailed me more info & then graciously split the bill on a couple creditcards so my brother could help pay.
TIP: If u arrive before 4pm checkin there is so MUCH to do like walk a trail, pool, minigolf, lunch at Vue or we went for icecream in red barn "flurries" .
Although kitchen is small its bigger than an RV kitchen.
STAFF: Shari manages housekeeping and also gave me a rainy day tour of a empty deluxe cabin that we booked for fall. Craig provided info about recreation here, long range plans and is also familiar w local attractions. Maintenance team mows and keeps grounds...
