Grand Vue Park Overlook — Attraction in Moundsville

Great place to hike and bike and the crews are always out keeping the grounds in order! Too bad there's still people that throw their garbage on the ground. 😠 (we could use a few more trash cans on the trails if only for those of us that pick up after others) The park could certainly use an extension and polishing, but someone's obviously put a lot of effort into transforming it into a viable destination. Massive zip line course, artificial rock climbing wall, golf course (also mini golf!), artificial ice rink!, swimming pool with a large conference style lodge that may be rented for occasions, various kinds of cabins, a big, red barn with ice cream sold in the bottom! There a disc golf course (is that what it's called?) that takes the more adventurous about the property. I see they're opening a news restaurant and bar...I'm sure I'm missing things. It's really turning into a hidden getaway, but still surprisingly peaceful. Good job to whoever is behind...

Nice view over looking the town. It was a good place to break out the food and drinks for a picnic. The overlook has a small observation deck that has a commercial binoculars that will cost 25 cents to use. Plenty of parking available at the overlook. It also has several picnic tables available that sit underneath a pavillion. Theis is also a children's playground available nearby. Worth the drive up the ridge to see...

Stunning views of Moundsville! An interesting drive up and around to get there. You have to drive until you can’t go any further; past the pavilions. Then there’s a hard to see narrow rock path out to an open area at the overlook. There’s a couple benches and a view finder. Take binoculars for an even better peak...
