Alhambra Hall — Attraction in Mount Pleasant

Alhambra Hall was the perfect venue for our spring wedding! Our ceremony was outdoors and the reception was inside... it was WONDERFUL to not have to make our guest travel from ceremony to reception and the backdrop (the water and marsh) was so on point around sunset. The guests loved it! At one point, more people were outside to catch the sun setting on the water than on the dance floor... Inside the reception area upstairs (they do have an elevator) you have beautiful lights and more than enough space. We had 135 guest and it was perfect for all the tables, food, a sitting area, the dessert table, DJ area, and two bars. We LOVE Alhambra Hall... I can't picture our wedding being anywhere else.

Alhambra Hall is the perfect location for a Charleston wedding. The second we saw the venue, with the large trees, water views and beautiful building, my husband and I knew this was where we were going to get married! Booking our desired date was super easy (we booked about 15 months out) and the Alhambra staff were professional and quick to answer any questions. Most of our guests were from out of town and could not stop talking about how beautiful the view and the venue were. While we ended up having perfect weather the day of (even though the week leading up called for thunderstorms) we loved the idea of having the building as a Plan B for our ceremony. Alhambra Hall was the perfect wedding venue, my parents were married here and I was able to also get married here in May 2019. The venue was recently updated and has the most perfect bridal suite. The grooms suite is really small so my husband only used it for a short time leading up to the wedding. BEWARE: The venue allows tours on your wedding day. We had FOUR different tours (not guided) wander though the bridal suite while myself and my girls were getting ready. My planner said this was normal but I was not told to expect this when I did my tour for booking this venue. The tours did end by 11:00 AM but I was not trilled to have strangers in my bridal suite as I was preparing for my wedding.
