This park has history: The dams were built to run the saw mill which was once located between city hall and Mountain Town Station Restaurant and Brewery. It also provided electric. I have lived in Mount Pleasant for 4 years and have witness that change of the vegetation. This park has three main entrance with parking. There are several off beaten trails extending from Broadway to High street. It is rich with wildlife and vegetation of flowers, herbs, mushrooms and raspberries. Chippewa river goes through it and there is a small beach families enjoy. Several times I have spotted river tubes, kayak and canoes. There is also a playground and large Pavilion with bathrooms located off Adams Street. The paved trails are ...

The Mill Pond Park has plenty of parking. The Mill Pond Park has a covered picnic area and it even has a place beside the river to get married by. There are geese, rabbits, and bunnies all around. This is a wonderful place to ride a bike, jog, walk. Dogs are permitted. Park Rangers are on patrol riding bikes along the trail. There are many bridges to cross. All of the bridges are sturdy and made of metal. The river that runs along the trail is calm. The river is a great place to float on intertubes. There are a few rapids but they are slow and manageable. All of this is FREE entertainment and very close to the college in Mount Pleasant called Central Michigan College. ...

It seems very wheelchair accessible...

Depending on water levels, river can be dangerous. When levels are normal this is a fun river to float. There is a Dam, many bridges, paved walking trails, some dirt paths through woods, a pavilion off Adams St with bathrooms, a playground off Adams, (active) Railroad tracks, and access to Nelson park if you follow the trails/river and cross Broadway. We enjoy parking off Leaton and playing at the sandy beach / swimming hole.

Very picturesque. Nice place to take photos.

Maybe plan a easy walk or bike ride to MountainTown Station for lunch, or downtown to shop? We frequent Herbs Inc, Motionless Motion, and The...

Worth of going here and had a peaceful time, preferably better morning walks or late evening chitchats, relaxing chill time with friends or family and the most important part which I like about was IT IS PET FRIENDLY❤️🐶 would definitely recommend you are looking for such vibes… peace, calm, relax! 😌

We live right next door and take our pup Vinny there everyday for a walk. We always go down the actual nature trail and we see deer everyday. It's beautiful. Lately there have been a lot of garbage but we help clean it. We need to keep our parks beautiful and safe for everyone.
