I Love this park especially the new playground. Definitely worth a trip if you havent been there in awhile, or if you have. Always a fun place to take the kids. If you've never been here ever, there are a lot of nice features including a nice sidewalk for dog-walking or biking, or even just plain people walking, which is mostly enclosed by fence (I say that because there are 1 or 2 other entrances on opposite sides of the park, which are not by the playground fyi), there are several pavilions, 1 of which being huge, which is really nice to rent out for birthdays and graduation parties, etc. Overall a very nice park, whether you're taking your dogs out for a walk, taking your kids to the playground, and/or for biking. Read moreIt's pretty great for a free park in a small town. There are paved paths to walk on, actual free parking spots and thankfully not TOO many people if you are there midweek and midday. LEASHED dogs are welcome, so if I see an off-leash dog, my dog and I won't go.....off-leash dogs and rule breakers ruin good places for the rest of us. After our segment of the concert, we visited the petting zoo, which was set up with goats, a sheep, and ponies. There's an area full of playground equipment and families gathering there. There were tennis players on the court and what looked like horse shoe players setting up. Spectators were also arriving to watch a baseball game. And, I could smell burgers frying in the pavilion.
