One of the most beautiful overlooks in the park.👀 This is also very well maintained. There is a very large information area with displays. And a nice walking trail🚶. There is plenty of RV parking here, provided some idiot doesn't park their car there as you'll see in my photos 🙈 (There's also plenty of room for cars as well)

And plenty of restrooms🚻 One thing unique I noticed was plexiglass windows installed in the fencing for children to look through. 👀 It didn't stop some parents from lifting their kids up on the railing however 🙈

Parents were a lot smarter when I was a kid. In fact so were the kids. There weren't so many warning signs posted at attractions because people knew...

Siri said there was a Taco Bell open until 2am at the beach. We were all excited to eat burritos on top of the pictures of rocks as they call it locally. We walked down a stupid trail only to find out that there were no burritos but even worse was the fact that there wasn’t even a Taco Bell. Never coming back to this place. Save yourself the misery of walking aimlessly down a boring gravely mosquito infested unimproved pathway and just drive to Marquette. There’s a Taco Bell there and a really quaint buffet restaurant with all the ice cream you can eat. Screw off...

I can’t believe such a breathtaking place exists—I recently had the chance to visit Miners Castle Rock also called as Pictured rocks, and it was truly one of the most stunning spots I’ve seen in a while. The views of Lake Superior from the cliffs were absolutely mesmerizing.

It’s easily one of the best natural sights I’ve experienced in Michigan. Peaceful, scenic, and perfect for photography. Definitely worth a visit if you’re...

Towering multicolored sandstone cliffs give this park its name, but Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore has even more to offer than these beautiful views. The park is open year-round and is truly a four-season recreation destination with hiking, canoeing, kayaking, lighthouse tours, birding, backcountry and drive-in camping, fall color viewing, ice climbing, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing...and more. 📌 Save this post for tips on visiting the first of the National Lakeshores established (in 1966). 🗺 Located along the southern shore of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan this park preserves 42 miles of shoreline. There are visitors centers at each end of the park. ⛴The western side of the park is the most popular. Lake Cruises (available from mid-May to mid-October) depart from Munising and allow you to experience the beautiful pictured rock cliffs, sea caves and the restored historic lighthouse on Grand Island. The parks best known waterfall (Munising Falls) is only 800 feet from the visitor’s center of the same name. 📸 Miners Castle Overlook is the only place in the park where you can view the Pictured Rocks from an easily accessible overlook. The scenic view is definitely worth a stop, but do expect to see it with a crowd of other visitors. 🛶Definitely make time to visit the parks eastern side where visitors are fewer and you’ll find beautiful forest hikes, peaceful lakes to kayak and some of the most pristine Lake Superior Beaches to explore. . . . . #family #familytravel #travel #nationalpark #nationallakeshore #picturedrocks #michigan #up #upperpeninsula #upperpeninsulamichigan #travelwithkids #traveltips #travelguide #outdoorswithkids #outdoors #getoutside
