This beach is as good as all these reviews say. It’s stunningly beautiful and worth every bit of your time. As of September 4, 2024 the road to the beach was closed (Miner’s Castle Rd). You could still get to Miner’s Castle Point and the Upper Overlook and there was a trail to the beach from there. The trail is quite steep, and several people were having difficulty navigating it to the beach. Our more elderly folks took one look at the steep hill and noped out. This beach is one of the most stunningly beautiful places I have ever been. I was completely awestruck by the cliffs at pictured rocks , the crystal clear water, the clean sand beach....just absolutely gorgeous. Read moreCliff jumping!! Absolutely must do!! It’s about 15 minutes from town, worth the drive. The beach has lovely sand, if sunbathing is your thing. Our family enjoyed walking to the far left end of the beach, walk all the wall out the rock cliffs as far as possible, and there are multiple great jumping rocks there to dive into the clear cold refreshing water!! We spent an hour jumping off rocks of varying heights, even our 10 year old daughter was doing it! Make sure you pick cliffs that allow you to leap far enough out so you don’t injure yourself.
