Nice little venue, but has poor management who was blatantly rude and made a scene over my weight and appearance to the point where I just walked out before the performance even started, they upgraded other patrons but went out of their way to publicly announce that I was too overweight to sit in the upgraded seats. Would consider returning under completely different staff and management, wish I would have gotten to see the show I spent 70$ on. (No refunds) I understand seats have weight limits, there were however more less public ways to communicate that, an example being: lowering your voice. If you’re going to disrespect your patrons like this, consider giving refunds. I’ll take that loss if it means maintaining my dignity and not sitting through that.
Edit:: The owner insulting my weight could definitely be compared to a whale.
EDIT IN RESPONSE: since I cannot reply to you trying to cover being disrespectful, you did make a scene by announcing loudly not once, but TWICE that I was the only person you could not upgrade due to my weight, LOUDLY IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE AUDIENCE, we left before the show even began because of your attitude. Go ahead and try and make it sound like you weren’t disrespectful and keep your grubby money. Try keeping people in their paid for seats instead of choosing who you will upgrade to more expensive seats and announcing loudly the reason is someone being overweight. Could have been a lot more discreet. Hope karma comes your way.
SECOND EDIT IN RESPONSE: (can not believe I’m writing this) at this point you have doubled down on the insults, I am very sorry your bulky door man does not know how to let people through the door without standing directly in front of the doorway. I am also very sorry that you chose to accommodate guests to the next upgraded seat when you could not accommodate the whole theatre (upgrades which were more expensive by the way), so that the theatre would not look as empty as I saw about 20 other people present if that and you had at least 30 open seats. she did in fact speak to each table (if you can call it a table) individually, I could hear every word she said to each other table and I’m sure you could on the video as well. “It’s your lucky day these people didn’t show up!” Check your videos right? If you can hear it on video I’m sure the whole room can hear it. I’m really sorry she chose to not lower her voice and say it herself NOT ONCE BUT TWICE, the second time being in front of the first row, in front of everyone when I was “in the second rows best seating” as you have said. Please stop trying to make it seem like I am ridiculous for walking out when publicly humiliated, I hope it was hard for everyone involved as it was for me. the person at the heart of the situation. If I left before the show even started I think that really says something. So bad of an experience I left before the show even started. I have never in my life been told my size restricts what chair I can sit in, I am from California and I think this is the worst first impression someone could give to this state when every one else here has been so kind and helpful. If she is struggling with her own weight, I’m sure she learned those chairs break because she tested them herself. I suggest getting better staff, and if she’s the owner, seriously consider selling this nice theatre and consider a career that is not in hospitality. Really wish I would have said some of this in front of everyone so she could have felt the humiliation I felt. I really do hope it was...
Read moreWe arrived 7 minutes late. A female called us 3 minutes before we arrived to let us know that "we should have been on time" and that she will have to ask the 100 people in the room if it is okay to hold the show for us to arrive which was rude right off the start. Said it was too bad but my 2 young children and me and husband can't attend the show. I referred back to the ticket I purchased and said according to the policy on the ticket it states "if late you can enter during intermission". I told her we understand if we have to wait until intermission to enter the show. She then said that there is NO intermission and that she would do me a favor by giving me half of the cost of our tickets in a gift card. I told her I would see her in a minute as I was walking in as we were talking on the phone. When I went in, she said "no we don't have the gift card, it will go to your email!! which would have been nice to mention before I took the time to find parking and walk in. She said that she was doing me a favor by giving me the half credit by gift card to use at their theater (which I am on vacation and won't be coming back in a long while-so a gift card is really pointless). When I mention they should take the incorrect information off their website that you are able to enter during intermission and that I would be writing a review about my experience. The lady said "oh in that case, I am not going to give you a gift card then" and she "was not going to do me a favor any longer". She had a man that was standing up by her and said "this is the show owner and he agrees to not let you have the gift card" who appeared in a dirty black t-shirt, unshaved, and wearing jeans and baseball cap. Looking at the sales policy on their website it says 1/2 price of show tickets for same day cancellations will be given by gift card. So I said you aren't doing me a favor and that it was according to policy and should based on me letting others know about my experience. She said no that it wasn't their policy and they would not be giving me the gift card any longer. While writing this review I see the owner listed is not the man I talked to while at the show (which makes sense based on how unprofessional he appeared). So beware as they are extremely rude, and do not follow their own policies, and will...
Read moreI would never recommend this place! The owner was extremely rude. Made our group of 12 uncomfortable from the minute we walked through the door. As soon as I gave her our tickets, she’s was very unprofessional, smirking and rudely saying your party will be in the waayyy back, a pole obstructing our view. SINCE we bought our tickets online, with a discount. She made that very clear she wasn’t happy about us using a discount code. Mind you we are a group of 12 so any discount helps us spend on snacks inside the establishment. Nevertheless, we still spent $250 on concession stand they had (11 beers, 5 sodas, 2 waters, 4 popcorns and, 3 candies. My mother noticed that they had small end tables throughout the crowd, she asked me to see how can you get one, rent or have so many drinks. So I go up to the concession stand and ask the employee. They said yeah, those are for rent. I was like great, I’ll rent one. Then here comes the owner went up to the worker, I’m assuming she asked what did I want, because after she came directly to me, and said you cant get one of those tables BECAUSE you purchased tickets through Vacation Made Easy. She stated she is forced to work with them.
*Never once did I demand anything, I simply ask, how can you order/rent one those tables. Your employee said we rent them. Do you not rent them!? Did your employee lie? The time we came bother you, so you made it a point to be unprofessional to our party. Got it! BUT Why would it matter how I bought the tickets. I bought them on a website you honor. And you needed to tell me more on more than on occasion your personal relationship with the business I bought them from. You treated us horribly and unprofessional. Girlfriend get your act together.
When did I say the performance was not good. It is run poorly. Our family was not going to allow you to ruin our memories.. but I’m glad you were watching our...
