The bluff walk was absolutely beautiful. One thing to not is if you're coming from the lighthouse which is directly north, the path is kind of hidden with a break in between 2 houses. I believe it will be marked with a "Public Way" stone on the street to let you know where the bluff path starts on the north side. You will walk along the bluff line and through paths carved into the brush, bushes, and overgrown areas. It's all very beautiful and quiet.

Word of warning though, you will be walking through and along people's backyards so please don't provoke or pet the animals. Also, there are stairs leading down to the beach (most of which are privately owned) so use caution and be sure to not trespass by using someone else's stairway. Most of them are closed or locked and clearly marked so you shouldn't have any issue identifying them. Overall, it's a very lovely and picturesque...

The Sconset Bluff Walk is a true Nantucket gem. Winding through the backyards of magnificent cliffside mansions, this public footpath offers an unparalleled blend of natural beauty and architectural grandeur. As you meander along, you’re treated to breathtaking sea vistas that seem to stretch endlessly, juxtaposed against the backdrop of some of the island’s most opulent homes. It’s a unique experience, allowing you a peek into the world of luxury while remaining grounded by the raw, scenic beauty of the coast. For those seeking a leisurely walk rich in views and charm, the Sconset Bluff Walk is an absolute must. It’s Nantucket’s scenic beauty and storied elegance rolled into one...

I think I may have reviewed the wrong lighthouse, or maybe I put my review of the bluff walk on the lighthouse. So if you're at a lighthouse, and uh, there's no market with really good carrot cake and an ice cream shop. I meant this one. I mean, they're really not that close together, like you start at this market area. There's like a Post Office, a sandwich shop called claudettes, who also has a really good carrot cake. But the real star of that show is the chocolate chip cookie. But whatever this isn't about claudettes, or the market it's about the bluff walk, which is awesome. I highly...

This walk is a little strange walking through everyone's backyard but is also amazing offering up great views of the ocean, beach an grand cliff side homes. The walk took me about an hour to get from the bus stop to the Lighthouse, taking my time and about the same on the return. I think the bluff walk is a mile and a half one way with another half mile to the Lighthouse. Some people seem to be real engaging with painted shells that interact with jokes and invitations down their stairs while others have "private" signs up. Try to be respectful and appreciate this access to great views!
