This was our very first stop on our first-ever trip to Wine Country, and it set the bar incredibly high!
I agonized over researching where to visit for months. Here's what I was looking for: A small winery where I couldn't easily find their wines in a store, beautiful grounds with a great laid-back vibe, and a reasonable price point on both bottles and tastings. Laird Family fit the bill. The owner, Ken Laird, is a big name in grape growing throughout Napa Valley, but only keeps around 2% of his grapes to produce wine, so their wines here are something of a hidden gem.
Our host was Andrew, and he was phenomenal. Knowledgeable but incredibly friendly, funny, and made us feel so welcome. His style of telling us about the wines made it so approachable! We learned so much but in a conversational way.
We did a red-only tasting and a mixed tasting, and brought picnic supplies. We primarily sat at the bar indoors, but ordered individual glasses and went outside, then purchased a bottle of the Jillian's red blend to take as well. We genuinely loved all the wines! In fact, we nearly joined the club, but since it was our first winery we thought we better take it slow. However, we will be hoping out of our way to stop in again on our next visit in June. The grounds are also gorgeous and you get an up-close peek at the winemaking process as you sit outside.
HIGHLY recommend a visit!

Absolutely loved this place, we had the best server who was very friendly and informative of the wines, with a great atmosphere, we went on a rainy day but our server was amazing, brought us blankets turned on the heater and did everything to make sure we were warm and comfortable along with our dogs, she had her own dog named king which might have been why she was so amazing with our beloved pups. We went to other nearby wineries but didn't experience nearly as high quality of service and friendliness as Laird winery. One thing that stood out to me was other wineries used the same glass for different flights of wine?????? Where Laird used specific glasses for each wine. Don't even know how that's a thing I should have to mention. Overall Laird was my favorite by a longshot!!!

There was a pretty big fire in the valley when we got there, so missed taking photos of the estate, but this is a fantastic place to go for some great wine tasting, views of the valley, and proximity to Napa and yountville.
Our sommelier Brian was self admittedly new to wine but did a great job.
What I really liked was the simplicity of the menu so we got one each of mixed wine and red and we loved most of the wines. We finally got one bottle of the red hen Chardonnay and the Napa valley cab sav. This allowed us to offset one of the tasting menu price as well. Great experience!

Had such an amazing experience at this winery. While visiting Napa Valley I’ve visited 9 wineries and I can say with full heart that this specific winery has the best service overall. Andrew, Sal, Emily and Sarah were so hospitable and nice!! We’ve visited twice, the first time we’ve visited we had a glass of wine and a charcuterie, prices are very affordable and the sitting area is very comfortable. We had to come back the next day to get another bottle. Their cold creek Pinot Grigio is very smooth and so it the Sauvignon Blanc.

Arrived at winery on July 4th after making reservations. Upon arriving at the Winery they were able to accommodate seating as per the reservation. However all cheese and meat boards were sold out. Apparently all such items need to be ordered in advance this was not mentioned, disclosed or discussed at any time during the reservation process making the tasting experience haphazard at best. Nice folks pretty winery however weak in staff training and communication. Good place to visit if you want to DYI your tasing experience.

This place is a hidden gem in Napa . Wines by the glass and bottles you can can enjoy on their spacious dog friendly patio . Very dog friendly and amazing property . Madeline helped assist me ( a local) in choosing a great class of Pino . Such a great place to come taste , they have Pino Grigio, Sav Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinos, Primotivo, and Cabs and I am probably leaving out a bunch. Don’t miss this place . I’m sure I will be a club member soon ! Super simple and amazing place to come and not pretentious at all !!!
