I said it - you don’t have to be a wine lover to enjoy Napa, the valley has so much to offer! šŸ™ƒ Here are some fun things to do on a day trip in Napa this March. Save the reel for your visit. Remember to leave no trace while exploring the outdoors šŸ€ ✨ Enjoy views of wild mustard covered vineyards Napa hills from your car. I-29 and Silverado trails are two of the best driving routes. ✨ Bike the Napa Valley Vine Trail. There are several places to rent bikes from in the valley - most of them are in the city and you’ll have to bike through industrial roads to reach the vineyards. I’d recommend bringing your own bikes if possible and starting outside of the city. ✨ Snap pictures at the vibrant tulip patch in Rutherford. There’s a cute tulip patch on Rutherford road where the Napa river crosses it that lights up with color in the tulip season (mid-late March). ✨ For a family friendly activity, visit a farm. We visited Charlie’s Acres Farm Animal Sanctuary last year for a tour and loved our experience there. ✨ Walk through wineries. We love visiting wineries even though we aren’t tasting wines - we find them visually captivating. Darioush, Far Niente, Castello di Amorosa are a few. #discovercalifornia #nature_shots #natureperfection #travelcalifornia #explorecalifornia #rawcalifornia #wildcalifornia #caliexplored #naturalcalifornia #californiacaptures #california_igers #californialife #californiavibes #beautifulnatureshots #outdoorstravel #planforvacation #californiatravels #californiaphotos #explorecalifornia #californiathroughmylens #californiatravelguide #visitnapavalley #napavalley #winecountryliving #napamustardseason #vineyardviews #rutherfordnapavalley

Started at Kennedy Park by the boat launch and rode all the way to Yountville. A lot of parking at Kennedy Park. The trail is paved all the way. When you get near oxbow the trail ends then it picks up again at Vallejo Street. So you have to use the street bike lanes in that area for only about less than 10 mins with traffic signals. It has beautiful views of the river and some cool wall art work along the way. Actual riding time was about 3.5 hours and about 24 miles round trip. We stopped at Yountville to eat and then on the way back stopped at Oxbow and Firestone brewery so the whole ride took us about 6.5 hours.

Simple, easy bike ride on cruiser type bikes. We went from Napa up to Oakville Grocery in less than 2-hours, ate a really great lunch, and got back well before 5. Can’t wait to see this extended all the way up to Calistoga.

Great idea to have a bike trail through Napa vineyards. This, however, is not one. It’s a trail in town and then next to the highway. Would suggest to abandon the project as planned and work to negotiate right of way on the many private vineyard roads/trails. That would be a delightful and peaceful ride, with easy access to...
