We visited Nashville Shores and unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. For the online price of admission, $49.99 (plus a separate parking fee, $18.00), you’d expect a clean, well-maintained waterpark — but this place is far from it. First, the park was dirty. Bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, and the chairs and loungers were covered in grime. It looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. For a family-focused park, the lack of cleanliness was pretty shocking. The food is outrageously overpriced for the quality you get — we paid $65 for a family of four and that didn’t even include drinks. Fountain drinks are $5.99 each with no refills. For what they charge, you’d expect decent food, but it was seriously below average — think cheap concession food at fine dining prices. Every table was dirty leaving us to clean our own table before we could eat. The whole park is rundown and feels like it’s badly in need of updates and better maintenance. It’s not fair to charge premium prices when you’re offering a subpar experience. Overall, not worth the money and definitely not somewhere we’d return unless major improvements are made. Honestly, if you’re looking for a great family waterpark experience, go to Holiday World in Indiana. It’s clean, well-managed, includes free parking, free soft drinks, and even free sunscreen. The food there is not only better, but the pricing is way more reasonable, and the whole atmosphere is focused on making families feel welcome and valued. Nashville Shores could learn a lot from how Holiday World treats its guests. Until Nashville Shores gets a major overhaul, we won’t be back — and I wouldn’t recommend it to others either. Save your money and drive a little farther for a much better experience.

Nashville Shores has done away with armbands for everyone except the primary person who ordered tickets. My kids, spouse, and mother I purchased 8 membership for do not get bands but a cardboard membership card or they can add an app to their phone. Except my kids do not have phones. Cardboard membership card at a water park for admission and to use throughtout the day for meal plans, and drink plans? That is not practical. The other option was to use my phone. In the past my pre teen/teens could use their arm band to get their meals or drink without me standing in line with them. Now they are expected to use a cardboard business card at a water park for those things How long is that cardboard going to last with damp hands and wet swimsuit? Or they can find me, we all can go to my locker to get my phone, use my phone to get their meals, or drinks and then bring it back to the locker. So every time my 5 kids wants a drink, I am expected to take a huge chunk of my time to get the card or my phone and do all this? With long summer lines, this can easily be a 45 minute process eacj time, and we would all need to order from the same place. All 5 would not be able to split up, or it would be me constantly in line for their drinks at different times. That is not practical either. 5 of us have meal plans. I purchased 8 season passes.

After complaining to the manager, I was offered a chance to purchase arm bands for each kid. I did because the alternative was not functional for our family. The staff member accidently coded one of the bands in a small, despite the request for a medium. I was told it would stretch. A small fits a toddler and a 5 year old. It is far too tight for an almost 11 year old. The manager told me I had to accept it and if not I would have to buy another one. I explained that I purchased season passes, past 2 years armbands were part of the season pass, and I have already paid for an armband on top of my seasons pass and you want me to pay for it a 3rd time? I have not even left the sales area, this is y'alls mistake and I should not have to pay for 3 times. It was met with, "Fine, you can get another size". The attitude from the manager was clear she was put out by doing this for me. The ridiculous factor was over the top for my liking.

I keep repeating this because frankly, I am still suprised at the level of interuption this would cause without my kids having arm bands. Imagine having a drink plan for your older kids with those cardboard business cards at a water park. Boys sometimes have pockets in their trunks but girls swimsuit do not.

They would need some type of purse or bag to carry them because their wet swim suit will destroy it. I do not like the idea od a bag they carry with them all day for the card. I would need to purchase drybag for each. They would be at choking risk for it being around their necks. That cord could hang on one thing and chock them. My kids do not have cell phones, so keeping up with their card or getting me would be the only choice. Carrying food and a drink, the sweat from the drink container is going to destroy the card if the wet swimsuit doesn't destroy it first. That is of course unless I make a field trip to my locker first just to use each persons drink plan.

I bet there is a replacement fee for their cardboard membership card. This was poor thinking on the water parks part. We will not be purchasing 8 seasons passes again...

We bought season passes for the first time this year. Using a special, we got a season parking pass for free. For $313, my family of four could go to Nashville Shores anytime we wanted for free. We also got one bring-a-friend pass with each season pass. We live 45 minutes away. About the park: Rides have always been operational when we've visited. We ALWAYS arrive at 10am, get a great parking spot, a shady place to put our stuff, and first access to great slides. We always bring a cooler and leave it in the car. Whether or not you can bring in food depends on the security person who checks your bags. The ONLY reason I gave a 4-star review is for this policy. "No outside food or drink"? Come on. I understand they want to make money off the snack shacks, but the lines can get REALLY long, why can't I bring in some damn Oreos?? The solution, if you get a stickler for the policy when checking in, is to bring a cooler, leave it in the car, exit at lunchtime, have a picnic at the picnic tables or in your car, and go back in. The food is standard theme park fare - chicken tenders, pizza, etc. and not impressive at all. Honestly I wouldn't mind paying theme park prices if the food was great, but it's just your standard frozen fare. The restrooms could also use a big spray-down with some bleach. They are a little yucky. But like.. it's a water park and everything is constantly wet. I get it. We usually stay from 10 to about 2 or 3. Make sure you bring slides or water shoes as the concrete is hot. (Mom advice - break them in before you go so you don't get blisters from first-time wear) I also got a cheap waterproof phone case, and/or you can get a "pool safe" on Amazon for less than $20 to keep your valuables locked up while you explore. There are also lockers for rent if none of that is appealing to you. We also bring a change of dry clothes so no one is soggy and whiny on the ride home. When we're all tired, we change in the restrooms, changing rooms, or in the car to go home. Grab a soda, water, or brewski (for the nondriver of course!) from our cooler in the car, and head home. Another thing I want to mention is that the lifeguards, while all young-looking, are super professional. The lifeguards by the wave pool look down to scan the water every few seconds. I have yet to see a lifeguard at Nashville Shores who I felt uncomfortable with as they did their job. I feel confident to let my sons (11 and 12, and great swimmers who love the water) venture off for periods of time by themselves. They employ some great young people here. Yes, there are several places where the stairway leads to multiple slides. You should never "wait in line for no reason." The signs everywhere tell you to proceed to the left or right if riding a different slide. Anyone reviewing to complain about the clientele can kick rocks. Local attractions are what they are, and if you can't have fun because you see "fat people" or who you judge as "trash" at a theme park then you can...

I highly recommend that you DO NOT waist the the drive and your time and deffently your money on Nashville Shores. When you look online at the website and pics it does not look like that in person. The lines was EXTREMELY LONG like 50 minutes or more. The place is a complete disappointment. It's unorganized and no structure and ran by teenagers. I honestly don't recall seeing any adult workers there beside when security was going through bags. We asked different staff questions and they did not know was the answer. It was overcrowded. Lazy river was a joke no raft tubes to use because kids was giving them to their "friends" there was no one supervising it. To many people at a time in the lazy river area. Unless you wanted to slide down the water slides you was waiting 45 mins or more. My husband and I went last year and said we would not go back and we should t have. Last year was bad but I thought maybe it would be different this year and I was wrong. Last year a French fry and a soda was $15.00. This year the pieces was the same and we knew better. I was so thirsty from the sun and standing in line I went to just get a soda. There was no ice at any of the concession booths but I had to have something to drink $5.00 for a medium no ice soda. The line for the bathroom was long and their was people changing in the bathrooms when there was changing areas opposite of the bathrooms. I waited exactly 13 mins for feed up from waiting and just used the bathroom when we left. This place is a joke. I guess when you have teenagers running something that's what you get. I seen good reviews on here last year and bad ones to. I don't understand how people could give this place a good review it must be from someone that is that works there or they are just lieing. I should have listened to to reviews last year and not went and I should of listened to myself and said we would not do it again but I am from a town where there is nothing to do. I figured we would give it another shot and try it again. All it was was a waist of time/drive and gas and money. So save your money and go somewhere else. We all have to travel to get to a water park unless your live locally in highly recommend drive a little farther and try some where else. Lesson learned and I am so disappointed that I let myself try it again ..

  • Listen and take advice from the bad reviews (I only gave 1 star because I couldn't post with zero stars ) With all the bad reviews and people talking bad about it else where you think they would fix the issues but it's Nashville and Nashville brings torrist they bring money and reguarlesss ppl will come... So sad how this world has gotten . Do not go. SAVE your TIME/DRIVE and MONEY. tickets are non-refundable. What...
