My family and I spent a Saturday late morning at the Zip Lines & Ropes Course, and I don’t know if it was because we are getting into the “off-season” but here were our observations: • The staff. While everyone was friendly, they were extremely inexperienced and my family was the first to set off on the green course and the “guides” didn’t show up until we were half way done, meaning there was 0 supervision. Luckily nothing happened while we were on the green course to warrant assistance, but still. •The courses. They need major help/re-construction. The ladders (only 1 person at a time) were old and warped. On some you could see screws popping out and rungs would shake or spin while you’d climb up. Making it extremely unsafe. Some of the obstacles where you’d step on a board looked rotted. The platforms which allowed 3 people at a time, would physically move each time someone would hop on, again making it feel like it would give way and extremely unsafe. •Better signage and information needs to be provided for each course. Our guide didn’t give any instruction other than “You can start on the green course” without letting us know how hard it would be or that there was a point where we could climb down but instead the course wrapped into the blue course. It was about 1 hr. •When we were finished our kids wanted to go on the yellow course but were too tall, so a staff member said we could do the ziplines up front. Again, no supervision on the course until we started down the top zipline. On the way back (on the lower zipline) my wheels seized up on the carabeaner and I stopped short. I tried to maneuver myself back to the platform but was working against cable and seized wheels. After 10 mins, a guide came over with a pool pole for me to grab on to so he could get me to the platform, which didn’t work. He tried to wrap it around my leg and that failed. Another 10 mins and they had to get a staff member to climb onto the zipline cable with me and help carry me back but again my wheels were stuck and wouldn’t work. By the time they got me off the zipline, I ripped off my equipment and gave it to them and we left. No one checked it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it went back into the pile for someone else to use. The staff apologized but I was too upset and my body hurt from being dangled that I just wanted to leave.
I honestly wouldn’t recommend coming here until they make some improvements to the course equipment. My fear is someone will get hurt. I’ll stick with better maintained places around...
Read moreThis place is super neat! We only saw the ropes course, that area alone was above what I expected. If you have kids under 7 they have a large playground below the kids course. Where kiddos can also enjoy watching gophers play. My 14 year old son had a blast, he over came fears and even completed the high zipline which was cool to see. In the end I felt very empowered I could complete this course….BUT I want to provide a few warnings. Id ask to see the demo before you start so you fully understand what you’re getting into. This is a ropes course with some zip lines. It wasn’t scary but it is very difficult and requires a lot of upper body strength and balance. Definitely buy the tickets in advance, it’s $15 more expensive in person. What a beginner is able to complete isn’t worth the full price admission of $50. It was a fun experience but I did feel a bit ripped off. We were told it was a 3-4 hour experience which in the end was hour and half because we couldn’t complete the last two advanced courses. The staff was helpful and kind. If you’re going anywhere near Nashville, I’d recommend this for athletic...
Read moreMostly obstacle course with a few zip lines. The park is nice and the lake looked beautiful that's why I gave it 3 instead of 2 stars. We were expecting to do a lot of zip lining and that simply is not the case. Just be prepared. It is definitely a work out with multiple hanging bridges of all varieties to navigate across. If you have soft hands bring gloves. And even though you clip your harness to many attachment points on the way up, many of the ladders you climb are basically telephone poles with large wooden dowels drilled through them going straight up and feel very rickety. Also they say "all sales final" and they mean it! I understand if someone shows up and then chickens out but we had one in our party get sick the day before and couldn't even come but no refund or even discount offered. If you know all this going into it you can have a fun time. If you show up thinking you're gonna do a bunch of zip lines, because you did like us and Google zip lines near us, you will be...
