Seven Oaks Park — Attraction in Nashville-Davidson

I grew up in Nashville in the 70s and 80s my dad had a mechanic shop on thompson lane a few miles from this park use to go there alot it was super nice always several baseball games going on ,killer concession stand with great ballgame food bathrooms were super clean playground had huge swings with the hard flat seat so you could swing way high and of course jump out in mid air, merry go rounds monkey bars a big ole slide and a small slide too ,nice painted basketball courts and the tennis courts were super nice and always packed with people playing!! Metro had picnic tables scattered all over the park with charcoal grilles so people could cookout.There were people everywhere sitting on tables having cookouts playing frisbee watching ballgames that were played late into the night even had a second play ground on the lower side of the park by the lower pavilion.The water fountains worked and kids used them constantly especially by the ballfields!! The grass was always cut perfect too! Great times!! Fast foward to 2020 WHAT A RUN DOWN PIECE OF CRAP!!! WOW!! The tennis courts are appalling havent had a surface on them in decades cracks so big with grass growing up thru them just sickening!! The ballfields havent been used in years I mean years!! The concession stand is long gone just the concrete pad left where it use to be!! The bathrooms looks to be trashed and locked up for decades!! No water fountains that worked at all my God!! And the playground is gone in its place some kind of teletubby stupo set no kid would play on! I guess someone might sue if there kid actually played and got hurt thats BS!! The basketball courts look like something in the hood! Omg! The grass was up to my knees and over my head on the lower hill and metro has let the woods creep up way past the line they use to mow!! On the twitty city side of the park the woods down by that pavillion is 6ft grass growing up and the playground is just gone!! What happened Metro? Steal too much money from the taxpayers? I was appalled at what I walked into after not seeing this place in 35 years!! If this is what Nashville has done to this park after becoming a democratic city 30 plus years ago my God one can only imagine how much corruption is really going on in this city! To let this park and what all of nashville looks like other than downtown fall into this state we the people need to take all of metro out of office and put real nashvillians that grew up here in office that knew the former glory of this city to restore it and if your caught stealing you are tried on camera for all the city to see made to pay back the money you've stolen and the people see that then horsewhiped by the people at least 100 lashes then put in prison for 25 yrs that would clean up this city and make our city leaders walk the line knowing what we'd do as we the people have the right to do!! This park has to much history dating back into the 50s to be left in this state I'm not talking about the disc golf side I'm talking about the family side of this park! It's a very popular disk golf course when on any day the parking lot can be filled and the course scattered with players making their way from hole to hole.

The course is located relatively close to the airport it's not too terribly hard to find via GPS. It is tucked away slightly giving the course a little bit of privacy and it's patrons an enjoyable experience.

The grounds are not exquisite, but they are maintained and taken care of regularly and there's definitely a positive community feeling with the people who enjoy playing at...

I play Disc Golf on a regular basis and have traveled all over the state... Of all the courses that i have played this is the best if there were a scale of 1-10 I would rate this course an 11. Most people don't know that this course is maintained by the golfers. It is a metro park but average joes take care of everything if you get a chance you should go visit this course. They have a hole for everyone. Sidearm or Backhand there is a hole for you... thank you for reading my review and thanks to everyone who helps...
