Calhoun Park — Attraction in New Berlin

Nice little park to come visit. Maybe take the kiddos to fish for some pan fish and bullheads. Perhaps let them expend some energy on the play set. Either way, nice way to kill some time relaxing and taking in some fresh air and nature. I enjoy listening to the birds while sitting near the pond and watching the kids fish. Great way to spend an afternoon or evening. Maybe with the kids or all alone to gather...

Has a couple of picnic shelters and two baseball fields. The central feature is a small pond. One of the pavilions had a sand volleyball pit that could use some maintenance. A short, out-of-the-way hiking trail in the back led up a steep hill, but it was hard to find.

Suburban park with baseball and soccer fields. Picnic area. Fishing pond. Hiking trails with moderate difficulty and excellent for cross country running. Ample parking and restrooms. One word of caution, there is a tornado siren at the top of the hill which is tested weekly at exactly 10 am...
