This is a really nice park. You can walk around the whole pond. It is a scenic trek. In the summertime, they have had paddle boats that you can use on the pond. There are ball fields, basketball courts, and a skate park here. The playground has been updated/upgraded and looks great. I do miss the old slide that was here, it was really big. For years, the city of New Britain launched fire works here on the 4th of July during a big festival (celebrating the country's independence) called The Great American Boom. With plenty of parking, including handicap spaces, we will absolutely return. Oh, and the people we met were so friendly, and masked. My ONLY complaint is that the children's play area is not fenced in or enclosed in any way. Child safety should be...
