Sept. 3, 2022 - We loved this spot! Great place to stop off and lose yourself for an hrs or so hiking through the boardwalks toward a spectacular tower view of the Galien River and surrounding marsh land.

The view from the tower is special, not something you get to see everyday. There is another ramp and a separate set of stairs that will take you to another viewing platform right on the Galien River too, and you can fish from this platform.

Beautiful wild flowers surround you throughout the hike, tall grasses and Lilly pads once down in the lower viewing platform. Expect to enjoy your time here and give a friendly, "hello" to the nice people you'll see along the trek. Really cool place.

I visited in Fall, and the views and smells were pretty spectacular. I did notice the park looks intimidating from looking at Google Maps as to the size of the park, which to me looked huge. It's actually very accessible with a level walk to the observation deck. I don't recommend that's if heights aren't your thing, there's a level walk back to the parking lot along the ridge. It's very short and easy.

Access to the wetlands below are fron stairs located on the observation deck or a very easy ramped walk that's nearly accessible to all levels of mobility. The stairs and wooden walkways become slick when wet and slicker with leaves.
