Slightly tricky to find the trail head . We had given up following the Google Maps we arrived at a sign the said, "Private Road - No trespassing". We turned around and found we had driven past the trail head (originally on our left) less then a quarter mile back.
There is a steep, short, and easily walkable trail up to wonderful overlooks of Candlewood Lake. Follow the white painted blazes through the woods. There were a few places where we lost them and had to backtrack. I would recommend following them past the overlook into a lovely patch of woods, past the memorial inscription where the trail loops back to the trail down.
