Icons Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in New Fairfield

We went on a Saturday evening, about 7pm. It wasn't crowded much at all, which was great because we were able to sit outside on the new patio! The weather was perfect! They have music playing from some outdoor speakers and overall it was a great experience.

The waitress came to take our drink orders and my Wife asked if there was a drink menu. At first she said no and then yes, but that it was behind the bar. There was an awkward silence..... Then we realized - she really meant that if we wanted to see a drink menu, we would have to get up and go look at the menu by the bar... But we were outside... (?) So, we didn't get to try any of the beer folks raved about. Instead the Ladies had a simple wine that was luckily on-hand and the boys had some strong, ummmm, seltzers and unsweetended teas.

We ordered some typical apps - wings, tater tots and fried pickles. They were great, we all enjoyed them. We ordered burgers and wings for dinner and that was great too. Food was 5 out of 5 great!

Overall experience was great and we'll be back!

Some tips to those that plan to sit outside: Check beer menu before sitting outside or maybe they'll provide drink menus for outsiders(?).

Bug spray! If you're going in the evening or later at night, be sure to spray-up or wear long pants. The bugs ate well that night.

I’m trying this place for the first time and I would not come back here again. The wings were horrible and my girlfriend got the bang bang shrimp and she said they weren’t breaded properly and there was no kick to it unless you dipped it in the sauce. The waitress was not attentive at all. She never came by to ask how the food was or to ask if we needed more drinks. She walked by twice and couldn’t care less about us. When she served us our main course she couldn’t even say I’ll get you more water. We had to ask for more water and the waitress was kinda taken back that we asked for more water. We waited over 30 minutes for our food to come out. There was only 3 of us so we didn’t understand why it took soo long for it to come out. I got a veggie burger, which was not what I as expecting. You could easily tell it was a frozen processed burger, not fresh at all. It was the worst veggie burger I had. Also it had no description and one would think that it was bean based but it was rice based. One of the people I was with got a pulled pork sandwich and it came out cold, she couldn’t even eat it. We got home and heated it up and it was all fatty.
