We had a good experience here to celebrate a milestone! The omakase set offered incredible value with fresh, beautifully presented sushi, and the cozy atmosphere made it even better. Our only wish was for the full omakase experience, where the chef serves each piece at the bar. Instead, we sat at a table and were served all at once—perhaps a special request is needed. Not fully sure- we didn’t really asked. Overall, this is the great sushi spot in the area. EDIT: while the sushi is great and recommended, I strongly feel the other food is extremely overpriced. For example, the chicken thigh teriyaki. >$30 is 100%not worth.

My husband wanted to take me somewhere new for my birthday in January and he decided to take me here. What a cute little hidden gem! We got the spicy tuna crispy rice, omasake, tuna tuna and spicy me rolls and a handful of toro and tuna sushi. Everything was phenomenal and so fresh! After we left, I thought about the spicy tuna crispy rice weekly until we went back a couple months later in March. I still think about it, which is why I'm writing the review in May 😂 be back soon!

Omakase has a small and intimate environment with lots of seating. Despite smaller parking lot there were many spots available when we arrived. Immediately upon arrival we were greeted. The menu has just the right amount of options for all different sushi preferences. We ordered a seaweed salad, green salad, sushi special with tri lights roll, icons roll, a yellowtail with scallion, and hot teas. The food was delicious; we cannot wait to go back and try more options.

  • Outstanding! * Definitely a cut above any other “Sushi” restaurant in the area that I have eaten at. Not your run of the mill large Japanese or fusion restaurant with the typical large array of menu items (though there’s a place for that if that’s what you want). Rather it’s a small cozy hometown bistro like atmosphere with a very exotic sushi centric focus, which to my personal taste is what I enjoy most in a sushi dining experience. The restaurant is named “Omakase” for a reason, and that reason is because the chef’s specialty is the omakase style experience whereas he selects the finest and freshest seafood cuts of the day and prepares each piece with an exotic flare in the form of some unique and flavorful sauce, topping, or both. I had the 10 pieces omakase the first time I went and it was amazing! Of course the menu offers a la cart selections too, as well as some interesting specialty rolls. So there’s something for everyone who like sushi. There are hot entrees as well for those who prefer. I had the chicken teriyaki the second time I went there and it was delicious and a quite sizable portion. Both times I went I started with the gyoza, and I could literally eat that everyday! The Miso soup was the best I’ve ever had, by far! The service was fantastic too, and the whole staff quite charming. I’m going back again for dinner...

I really wanted to like it because there is no great food in NF but our takeout was honestly the worst sushi i have had. It was flavorless and our whole family didn’t like it- had to throw it out. Honestly disgusting that they’re charging $21+ for rolls that were falling apart and tasted like plastic. Proved my point that I simply just don’t think it’s possible to have good fresh sushi out here.

Edit to reply to feedback: unfortunately we did call your restaurant back and explain what was wrong, the person on the other end said “sorry that was your experience” and offered no other support. We asked for chopsticks, napkins, and soy sauce and did not receive any nor did the person apologize. If you don’t want to hear anything other than rave reviews you’re in for a long ride, like you said the restaurant business “is not for the faint of heart”. If you never received criticism how are you supposed to truly be the best you can be? Glad you seem to be getting positive reviews so far, I’d be happy to give it another...

Personally I found the name deceiving. Omakase is typically an entire meal that is chef's choice. This place should've been name Nigiri Omakase because it's really just the nigiri that is chef's choice. Everything else on the menu was rolls and salad and other items. I found the yellowtail and scallion roll to be good, but the size of the roll is definitely a lot smaller than I expected. The scallops and madai sashimi had what looked like a little bit of soy sauce on top. Typical sashimi is just the fish. Not sure why the soy sauce (could've been ponzu) was needed. It also just tasted ok. The spicy tuna on crunchy rice appetizer was delicious, although I didn't think it was spicy at all. Ambiance is nice, staff are friendly. Our group came in very late but they were very accommodating. Food is...
