AR Workshop Gilbertsville — Attraction in New Hanover Township

I’ve been to this location multiple times and have always had a blast! I would give 5 stars every single time. However, my latest experience this last visit was frustrating. The woman who was to be helping us through the process of completing the project was nothing short of rude and inattentive. While we were working on our projects, she was speaking to one customer the entire time we sat at the table, completely ignoring everyone else and all of us constantly waiting 15+ minutes to either get more paint or needing sanding blocks/paper, etc. Again, having done these projects multiple times before and also doing my own crafting projects at home, I understood the steps and processes. When asking a question about what vinyl to remove from the board, weeding tools and my vinyl were grabbed right from my hands, the weeding done for me resulting in some of the smaller details being ruined or messed up. Whenever she did stop talking to her “friend” or acquaintance at the table, she would come over insisting that we do the next step before we finished the current step. While not being attentive to the rest of the table, she was on her phone scrolling through Instagram and constantly bumping into us or pushing us aside while painting, resulting in many touch ups. Aside from the above mentioned, the two women next to us were nothing short of fantastic company. The projects were fun and came out great. I had my first experience at AR this weekend. While the project I chose was fairly simple, the staff member assigned to the table was not very attentive or helpful. One multiple occasions she bumped into me, at one point knocking me off the stool. She must have had a friend at our table because she ignored us for most of the night to talk to this woman. I found myself standing around and feeling like a nuisance when asking for materials or to do the next step because I had to keep interrupting her conversation with her friend. When she was being attentive she was a bit rude and abrasive kind of grabbing things and forcefully taking over the project rushing the step I was on. Even after asking multiple times she kept forgetting to do the final step of my project because of her constant distraction with her friend. Overall it was not an enjoyable night besides the wonderful women next to us. I would go back, but not with the same...

I hosted a bridal shower making candles at AR workshop and it was such a nice event! Cindy and Gianna made everything so nice for us, they had lots of scents to choose from and gave everyone great instructions. They had lots of space for us and even for food and drinks and gifts! Cindy was super easy to work with leading up to the event. I highly recommend this place for parties or just a fun night out, plenty of parking too which is always great. Thanks so much Cindy...
