Awesome museum detailing pieces and facts from every age of the history of the u.s. Coast Guard. The campus was awesome also. The museum is not overly large but it is very impressive and informative. Admission is free but they do have a donation box that you can donate to on the way out which is a great idea. Just keep in mind because it's on the campus you have to have a valid driver's license or u.s. ID to enter since it's a military base.

Vacation week for the kiddo and was looking for something different, decided to check out the Coast Guard Museum in Groton. It's free to get in and definitely worth visiting. Some of the exhibits were being worked on but definitely worth checking out. It's not very big so take your time and enjoy every minute of it. There is also a library in the building also.

Great military museum. There are new exhibits from time to time. A must see for anyone interested in the USCG and Maritime in general.

Si trova all'interno dell'accademia della Guardia Costiera quindi all'ingresso verrete fermati e dovrete esibire un documento al personale di guardia che vi indirizzerà verso il museo. (Non è consentito andare a zonzo per la base) Ingresso libero
