My son David is Graduating from UNO Bachelor of Computer Science and it was a wonderful Commencement Ceremony. *Note a couple of tips for those attending Graduation ceremonies: (1) Parking can be a bit challenging leading up to the start time so those that are physically challenged, but without handicap plates, may want to leave early enough to get prime parking with shortest walking distance. (2)Although all traffic entering will be in a single file line, for those with handicap plates, be on the lookout for a handwritten sign that reads, "ADA Access" (American Disability Act Sign - but without the ADA wheelchair symbol). It leads to official ADA Signs with Parking spaces near an elevator. (3) Prepare in advance, through your school/establishment, by reading the acceptable items allowed inside. There were some people that had to return items to their cars that were not allowed. (Also note that the signs already posted are for concerts that do not allow certain items That ARE ALLOWED for your event and/or may be lacking current COVID or Security level clearance) {EXAMPLES of the different conflicting information on signage: For some Ceremonies, Bottled Water & Pro Camera's are allowed BUT For Concerts NO Food, Drinks or Professional Cameras...
Read moreThis venu is great! Very cool & spacious. We went last night for $uicideboy$ & were very impressed, we got tickets we thought were gonna be far away but ended up being close to the stage. The arena is small but the good kind of small that no matter where you’re standing you’ll be able to see & enjoy yourself. My only issue was restrooms? We were in section C & the only restroom we could find was the one all the way by section T. It seemed like that was also everyone else’s problem as well, as there were two long lines of girls waiting to get to a stall. Once I got in the stall I realized there was no garbage can to throw away pad/tampon wrappers. It was slightly embarrassing to have to carry a used pad & tampon wrapper out of the stall and throw it away in front of everyone. But, I realize it’s nothing to be ashamed of & something every one of those people who seen me throw it away goes through. So if you’re not embarrassed of stuff like that you should...
Read moreWe we're there for the Gracias Choir Christmas Cantata. Tho parking is plentiful, for an event of this level, the walking from parking to the building was a trip in itself. The inside was a bit chaotic. The set up of the arena was very good. Everyone had a clear view of the event. The arena remained a comfortable temperature. Despite the heat and walk from outside, there were no foul smells lingering. The restroom had issues as one stall in the ladies room had no tissue paper and one toilet was backing up. My greatest wish has nothing to do with the event or arena. I wish those selfish ones in attendance would follow the simple request of not using their phones. The lighting from them recording the event is very distracting to everyone...
