The veggie lo mein was okayish but disappointing. There weren’t any parsnips, radishes, baby corn, or bok choy that you would expect to be in a lo mein dish, so it was pretty flavorless. It also lacked a proper vegetable to noodle ratio. The seafood soup was less than mediocre, I definitely wouldn’t recommend. It was bland and tasteless—there was no umami, no seaweed, and no richness of flavor. Just heated broth with imitation crab meat and eggs. The noodles in the lo mein were really doughey and satisfying at least, but the dishes were bland and tasteless overall.
Two stars, because at least there were no bugs in the food. I will eat there again since there is nowhere else close by. But Chinese food is usually better...
Read moreI was very skeptical about trying this place over some of the "bad reviews" but it's so close to my work that I had to give it a try. I am very impressed with the flavor of the General's Chicken. The beef Lo Mein is very good and flavorful as well. The order was placed in the store and I was heading back to work in less than 10 minutes with piping hot plates. The atmosphere can be a little uninviting, but definitely recommend giving it a shot if you're in the area and looking for reasonably priced...
