I'm rather conflicted about this park. Basically, it's like Duloc, where Lord Faraquaad lives in Shrek.
Everything is in very good condition, and there are many things to do at this park. But, you can't take two steps without seeing another sign telling you not to do something. Whether it be the batting cages (no practice swings outside of the cages, helmets must be worn, the employee checking to make certain that we weren't wearing - gasp! - open toes shoes...) or the roller coaster (can't be ridden by anyone over 18, even if that person is smaller than a typical adult, 5'1" and 105 lbs due to health issues, wanting to hop on to make a trepidatious 3 year old feel better.
Our party was kicked out of the area of the pavillion that we'd set up in because it was reserved - there were no signs saying it was reserved (the only thing that didn't have a sign on it in this place), and there was an empty pavilion right next to the one we were in, but nope, time to go. I tripped on the way over to talk with the officious employee who was giving lip to, I kid you not, my 89 and 91 yo grandparents, making them feel like they'd done something wrong by being the ones holding down the unmarked, apparently reserved locale. Did the fellow help? Ask if I was ok? Nope. Just kind of left me on the ground for a minute, waiting for me to get up, so he could continue explaining how we needed to move asap.
For reasons I do not grasp, there are no latches in the on the women's restroom doors. That seems amazingly creepy to me.
On the way out I noticed that there was a lovely square of flowers blooming around a tree. But then I had to sigh when I saw the sign in front of the flowers was not a plaque, or maybe some pithy quote, but a sign saying to stay off the flowers. Even a 5ft by 7 ft patch of prettiness needs a sign in this park, telling you how to behave.
After being there for a few hours I couldn't wait to leave. I can't imagine going back. So, after writing this review I guess I'm not conflicted. I...
Read moreToday we finally made it here with our grandkids and friends. There's a parking lot by the entrance but it's not very big. It's on the right hand side. Drive past it and there's another parking lot at the top of the hill. There's handicapped parking in the 1st lot. No fee to get in the park but a fee to swim and play putt putt. You're allowed to bring in food, drinks, coolers etc. There's a snack bar that has sandwiches, ice cream, drinks etc. We didn't swim today, but the pool looked really nice, clean and inviting. There's grassy area's to throw out a blanket, chairs. There's also tennis courts on the property, a pond with ducks and geese. You can fish here free, no license required. Catch and release. There's shaded picnic tables to use and also a number of pavilions to reserve. All of them were used today. Of course the main attraction is the rides for the kids and a few adults can ride on. I think there's like 8 or 10 rides. You can but tickets for $1.00 per ride or get 10 tickets for $8.00. Each ride took 1 ticket. Our grandkids loved the rides. We all rode on the carousel. A very nice one. Plenty of benches to sit on. 2 playgrounds. It's a great place for the whole family to go. The prices are low and the concessions great prices too. Great place to have a picnic. I know we'll be back. We all had a fun, family day! There's also a baseball field, basketball courts, bocce ball, walking track. There's an amphitheater where they have bands or groups perform every night. Once again a great place for the...
Read moreI would rate this park a 0 if it were an option! I am highly dissatisfied with the staff and management of this park. I was here Sunday for a family reunion. My 13 month old got into the airplane. I specifically told the girl working I wasn't sure how she would do and asked if she could stop the ride if my daughter started to cry. During the ride, my daughter started to turn around and stand up (her belt was fastened). I screamed 3 times STOP THE RIDE! When the girl never turned around to even look, i proceeded to jump the fence with the help of bystanders and grabbed my daughter from the ride while it was still moving. By this time my daughter was completely turned around and standing backwards trying to get to her sister in the plane behind her. The girls excuse was she was late on her break and that's why she was preoccupied talking to a co-worker. Are u fkg kidding me!?! That's my daughter's life in your hands!!! (For anyone that's not been here, the ride stands 2-3 feet from the ground, beneath that it is solid concrete) when we got management he said "I'll deal with it." But could never tell me what steps he would take. After all said and done we said we were leaving and wanted out 15 tickets we had just purchased refunded and they refused. DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE AND IRRESPONSIBLE WORKERS MY DAUGHTER COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED! People PLEASE watch your children closely!!! MANAGEMENT: GET NEW SAFTELY BELTS AND BETTER STAFF! THE AIRPLANES AND ANY OTHER RIDE THAT DOES NOT HAVE PROPER SAFTEY BELTS...
