The manager has severe mental issues and likes to scream and cuss at customers. I will never give Papa John's another dollar, ever again, especially the one in New Philly. I placed my order and paid for it on the app. I then called the restaurant to see if I could change the medium pizza to a thin crust. The idiot kid who I talked to ended up charging me a second time for the pizza and didn't bother saying that they don't have thin crust mediums. After my bank texted me that I was charged again, I called the restaurant, again... the first person I talked to understood what I was saying, but the manager had no clue what she was talking about. The manager got on the phone, but just kept talking through me and wouldn't let me speak. I had to try to explain what they did 4 times and she just kept saying "he's just a kid!" I said I didn't care and I wanted my money back and should not have been double charged. She then proceeded to scream and cuss at me, like a crazy person. I kept asking her to stop screaming at me and she had a complete meltdown and said she wasn't refunding my money and she was canceling the order. That pathetic woman has no business being a manager or ever dealiing with a customer. I have been a loyal customer for many years. Seems to me that the manager has severe mental problems, as while she was screaming and cussing at me, she had the nerve to say I was being rude for saying that I didn't care if "he's just a kid" and just wanted my money back. No normal person would completely flip out like that. A normal person would have apologized for the mistake, and refunded my money. I ended up calling their corporate offices and explained that she refused to refund my money, screamed and cussed at me, and canceled my order. Okay, I have an update. I called and ordered my pizza and boneless wings. I told the person taking my order that I was using a coupon, which was, a large 5-item pizza, or specialty pizza for $14.99. She said okay. Took my order, I went through the drive through to pick up my order. I got home and instead of honoring my coupon, it's on their website, instead of charging me with the coupon, I was charged $7.00 more. I called them, they first said to come back and show them my coupon and they will accept it. I asked if they could apply the overage to my next order. No, they (the manager) needs to see it on my phone. Then I'm told that they don't have a coupon like that. Now, I need not show them the coupon on my phone, because they only take coupons if you order online. Well, they accepted my coupon on previous orders. So, the pizza and chicken wings were good, I feel that they should own up on the coupon or give me money off on the next order. So, because of this, I'm not sure I'm going to order from them again. It's the principle of the thing. I tip them $4.00 when they deliver, plus they add another $4.00 for delivery. I thought that I could save the $8.00 by picking it up. I guess...
Read moreThere was an issue with our order between online and picking it up. We were working with the employee to get it fixed. She said just put the pizza in the car, and we will figure it all out. The manager started SCREAMING at the employee saying, "I told you not to give them the pizza" while she was at the window. I was on the passenger side and could hear it. The employee quit and walked out. The manager took our pizza back and figured out the issue, we paid via card, and she gave us our pizza back. The issue with online happens, the manager screaming at the employee is unacceptable. Especially in front of customers who were waiting at the window with their card to pay via card if it didn't register online.
