My family chose ArchCare for my uncle's care based on numerous positive reviews highlighting its faith-based approach and commitment to attentive, nurturing, and dignified patient treatment. However, our experience has been profoundly disappointing and far from what was promised.
Since his admission, my uncle has frequently been ignored, even after activating his call button. He has been subjected to undignified treatment, including being served cold food when we were not present and being left in soiled garments for extended periods after soiling himself. These instances of neglect occurred even when he clearly required immediate assistance.
What is most alarming is the facility's response to our numerous verbal complaints. After several days of this unacceptable treatment, we were informed that the facility "doesn't have the staff to properly assist him." This raises a critical question: if ArchCare lacks adequate staffing to care for its residents, why are they continuing to admit new patients? The implication that patient admissions are prioritized over sufficient staffing levels for proper care is deeply troubling.
Furthermore, we were informed that the facility could not provide a caretaker to accompany my uncle to a critical medical appointment, despite knowing he is a fall risk and unable to walk unassisted. This demonstrates a severe lack of concern for patient safety and well-being.
My uncle will be removed from this facility post haste. I am writing this review to caution any other families considering ArchCare for their loved ones. Based on our experience, the discrepancy between the advertised care and the actual conditions is stark. We also have strong suspicions regarding the authenticity of the highly positive reviews, particularly given that new glowing reviews with accompanying pictures and videos have appeared mysteriously following our family's attempts to post...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt is with enthusiasm that I highly recommend ArchCare at Providence Rest! My mom has always given our family the best, and she deserves the best. The decision to place a parent/loved one in a nursing home/rehab is not made lightly. I toured Providence with a friend who is a health care professional and spoke well of the facility. She was correct! Clinically, the teams work together and respond to family. The setting is gorgeous and tranquil. The unexpected and MOST important joy is that there is love and care in the air here. On my momās first day, I sat in the chapel and cried. A nun saw me and told me donāt worry, Providence Rest would be part of her family now. A big shout out to Michelle and the Recreation crew. Michelle is also the Director of Guest Experience which speaks volumes of the attention to detail. The qualified staff of 3Pā¦Mariam, Connie, Barbara, the supervisors, Dr. Taparia and all of the team make it happen daily. The front desk crew share a smile and cleanliness is evident throughout. The staff behind the scenes are getting it done! If you are faced with the decision of sub-acute or long term care, ArchCare at Providence Rest...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis nursing home is a complete disaster. The nurses and social workers do not care for their patients or take any pride in their work. They lost my mother's dentures, and so she couldn't eat and was put on an IV of sugar and salt water. They did not even notice that she had lost her dentures just that she had stopped eating. The doctor said my mother would die in this manner if she did not get her dentures back and resume eating. I told the social worker EDWINA BROWN and she shrugged and said: so what? They are essentially murdering my mother. The head nurse TANISHA HART is a disgrace: she did nothing except check her cell phone and eat. When we asked for help, she never came and after complaining, she told the other nurses not to help my mother in any manner. There were help bells going off for 45 minutes with nurses just sitting around doing nothing and not going to the rooms to help people. There is absolutely no supervision. Do not send someone you love here. They will kill...
