Beach 9th Street Playground — Attraction in New York

PART 1 - EXPOSING THE PARKS DEPT OR LACK THERE OF - So what once was a beautiful new park sprawling with children playing handball games and basketball tournaments at Beach 9th Far Rockaway Park - is NOW a place where there are more rats than the NYC subway. It has gotten so bad that the rats are now out in the daytime pulling garbage and food to their new habitat in the bushes. Constant complaints to the Beach 9th and Beach 17th Street Park houses does nothing - Because they ride around in there cart acting like they are cleaning up. The bushes and marsh had grown so tall - Poison Ivy had started to form - They half cut the bushes and now the rats have burrowed in the ground - They won't put rat poison down because I guess they scared to go in the bushes for fear of being attacked - The kids are still trying to play but if a ball roles into the bushes they can't even go get it for fear of being attacked by the rats. In two pictures you can see a rat pulling trash into the bushes - I took two so you can see the before and after. New York City Department of Parks & Recreation - WHAT AND WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS - They said call 311 - You call 311 - GET THIS - Well you have to call your local council person - Well maybe if we even knew who our council person was - Because the so called office is NEVER open - and they do council meetings like once every 6 months - LOL - IT IS ALL A BIG JOKE - These people are getting money and lining their pockets because as you can plainly see NOTHING IS GETTING DONE - People are not going to come to enjoy a rat infested park - rats have diseases and whatever else - WHAT is it going to take - someone getting bit for action to be taken - WE HAVE NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER HAD RATS like this - some as big as cats - Now because of the lack of people who are clearly supposed to be working but instead they texting riding up and down the beach among other things are not doing what they are getting paid to do - Some of these people are making $30 an hour and they sit and do nothing ALL DAY - WOW NYC PARKS - Is this what we are doing in 2018 - The staff at Coney Island Surf Ave Park are there every morning at 8am cleaning up - As of tomorrow the trash will be here now for 3 days - It stinks and the rats are getting worse. - WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO GET PEOPLE TO DO THEIR JOBS - WHAT ARE THEY DOING WITH THE MONEY? - ALL THESE QUESTIONS BUT NO ONE CAN ANSWER - IT'S TIME TO PULL THE CURTAIN... #CLEANOURPARK #311 311 - PART 2 OF EXPOSING THE PARKS DEPT OR LACK THERE OF - coming soon. #SANTITATION New York City Department of Sanitation NYC Health + Hospitals - Comment, Share and help us get our park back - We are tired of sharing with...

I wish I would it took a picture this place is Nice.... But like any New York City beach at soon as you make it to the shore (SMH) you wanna Leave! but be size that! while I was playing basketball I'm met a young 15 your Boi...that I was able to beat in a game of basketball! At the end of the game I was able to introduce myself, then I told him my age he was amazed of what a 37 year old kid in mind can still do! On the Court* I was really LMAO....But then I toke it 2 another level And played a 3 Man with him... & showed him how to play zone in the half court game, (he didn't think it was possible) And since I seen he had a good jump Shot, I showed him what the high screen can do once they check the ball!!!! (Swish) with no Net! So over all I can only give it a 3 star rating, only because The waterfront did not provide the finishing accommodation of wanting to jump in...

Well, things have changed from what it was. And still changing. It has changed a little from this pic. They are putting new and rebuilding older jetties. Don't understand what took so long to figure that out? But about a block or so is closed, because of storage of the boulders until they do what they do. Check some of my current Pic's and Videos. Well, parking is still limited especially in the summer and tickets run deep! They camp out in the area in the summer just to ticket you.

10/16/2022- The Pics that I have recently added are along Bch 9th to Bch 40th. The pic's shows the extention of sand that has been added in the past month and what they are setting up to do. I don't have a clue on what the next step maybe? I've seen past replishment 's done. But they're doing something differently now. I guess we will just have to wait and see the...
