The Hart Cluett Museum is a well put together museum that displays the history of Troy and Rensselaer County. The museum has many one of a kind artifacts. Some of these include ornate iron stoves that were manufactured in Troy, elaborate carriages, a display about Uncle Sam, a painting of the Poestenkill Lion, and sculptures from the Garden Way company aka Troy-Bilt. There are also some more contemporary objects including a neon sign from the South Troy Tavern and a seat from the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. There are sure to be many things that will catch your attention here. Admission is free! There is a research library inside as well.
