A few points. I went as a neighbor and a hospital employee and I am Jewish. That said, the place is beautiful. They both put a lot into it and it shows. While it is free to see it, any donations are sent to SIUH. Shows you where these people's heart are. Special people. I can't comment on any religious connection all the displays have but my children would love to have one doll house as big and as wonderful as just one of his displays. As a neighbor, I can tell you people come from far and wide to see it. Sometimes the police are there to make sure everything keeps moving.
