Ocean Blue Luxury Apartments — Attraction in New York

I've spent over $100 on application fees alone from May to September. I was told I was on a waiting list for a 2 bedroom at first and then was denied because of my credit. I showed 3-4 different documents showing proof that I don’t pay a portion and was still denied. Every time I called the management to find out availability and update, the lady would tell me there wasn't anything available. Meanwhile, I could see apartments were just listed for rent online. I was definitely discriminated against all because she thought that I and / or my voucher was not gonna pay the rent. I heard her talking to a coworker while i was supposed to be on hold, saying they only pay a few months, and then they stop paying. My rent is up to date, by the way. Landlords would rather not have their rent paid based on someone's credit. Unfortunately, they're losing out on money....

Reading these other comments is confusing to me. After just finishing my first year (actually living) at Ocean Blue-the entire property is kept quite clean and the Super is ultra responsive-even on weekends. Every apartment building in NYC has roaches. Not every landlord provides free exterminator service every week at your request. I have seen 1 roughly every other month...and never 2 together-so no infestations. The compound including the large electronic gate on the parking lot is ultra secure...and as an older person who is on the boardwalk every day-I have never seen a police action or heard a raised voice. Lastly the lady talking about "over 100 dollars in fees" is telling a fairy tale. It's $20 dollars once....approved or denied. Apparently, she was denied...and her credit is no better than her truthfulness in storytelling. Check out the pic...

RENTERS beware You’re paying for the view that’s it. Leaky ceilings Roach infested Rat infested Horribly maintained building with even more Horrible building manager will make you pay $40 fee if you ever get locked out instead of giving you the set of keys your paid for . If you pay money for a parking spot you no longer use the money won’t be applied to your rent or anything . It’s just gone .. this building is a rip off and a shame because you can’t even get mail safely . Cameras don’t work on most floors . My apartment was burglarized and the super can’t even provide footage . Thousands of dollars for amenities that don’t exist . The gym is the only decent thing about...
