Came here 1/23/2019 around 10pm with a flat tire, one of the workers (Heavy set guy) took the tire to the back to inspect while I waited outside. He called me in after about 5 min to tell me the nail punctured through the bottom of the tire and through the side wall of the tire which was not repairable and that I need to purchase a new tire for $200+ labor, tax.
When I inspected the tire myself the nail was still lodged through the bottom of the tire, I told him it appears to be impossible for the nail to hit the wall as it doesn't reach and it looked like someone took a drill to the inside of the tire and scuffed the side, there was fresh tire shavings all over the inside of the tire.
After closer inspection i told him it doesn't even look like it penetrated through the wall and he said his tester showed that air was leaking through the side and it 100% went through.
left with no other options, anxious to get home and know way to prove he shaved the side of my tire, I told him I would purchase the new tire. He then goes on the computer and tells me he doesn't have that tire in stock to come back tomorrow, so i left with my tire and rim.
Next day I deiced (for the hell of it) to go to another shop in the city and see if they can fix the tire as i still had some doubt the tire was fully punctured through the side and sure enough the guy looks at the tire and says there is no hole on the side of the tire and it does look like someone intentionally scuffed the inside of the tire. He was able to fix the tire for $20.
Appears others have posted similar stories indicating mysterious punctured holes on the sides of their tires as well.

Read moreWe had a highly unprofessional experience with this Red Line Auto & Tire. My husband called on April 2, 2025, at 8:56 PM, clearly stating that he needed emergency assistance because the car’s belt was ripping off. The person who answered assured him to come in, so we drove 2.5 miles to the location.
However, upon arrival, the same person informed us that no mechanic was available. He was speaking in Spanish and laughing when we expressed our disappointment, which we found extremely unprofessional and disrespectful given the urgency of the situation. This lack of communication and professionalism was unacceptable. I regret not getting his name, but based on this experience, I strongly advise others to seek a more reliable and professional service elsewhere.
UPDATE: After this experience, we decided to park the car at an auto repair shop we were familiar with. This morning, we took it to a mechanic who informed us that we were extremely fortunate—the issue could have caused severe engine damage and even brake failure, posing a serious risk of an accident. This further highlights the irresponsibility and negligence of Red Line Auto & Tire. The person who answered our call failed to recognize the urgency of the situation and simply expected us to leave the car, despite our clear request for immediate assistance. Such disregard for customer safety is completely...
Read moreEdit: I have to reduce the rating of this place. There are several things they do wrong. #1: If you are not Latino, look out! You will probably get the gringo price. I confirmed I was paying $10 more for a flat fix (compared to guy right next to me for the same size tire) and $5-10 more for a mount and balance. I’ve seen them charge an actual gringo even more than they charged me - $40 for a mount and balance per car tire. They will lie to you right in your face. #2: They tighten the lug nuts way too tight to the point they can stretch or break your studs. They hit the lugs with an impact set way too strong then they hit it several times. I had to jump up and down on a breaker bar to get it off. It should be 80-100 ft/lb. #3: They dent the jack points under your car with bare metal jacks (without any jack pads). #4: They under inflate your tires. Just recently they left my tire pressure at 27 lbs. #5: Right after my tire mount and balance I saw one of the weights were already falling off. I had to stick it back on by pressing on it. #6: If you have new rims they will set them on the floor on bare rough concrete (though to be fair on the backside). Also the tool they use to take/start the tire off the rim is bare steel which they pry on your rim.
I’m done with this place! I’ll...
