Very peaceful and clean temple if you want to pray. One of the male staff who cooks there is very very rude to people. His behavior is reported to the phone number listed in front. This staff member looks for women who go there alone (single) and finds reason to insult and yell at them. This staff member at his discretion gives boxes to take pershad home, if you are a doctor, or American, or Gujarati, volunteers or homeless. But as a devotee if you want to take pershad for someone, you will be yelled constantly by this employee who thinks he is over trustees. This person yelled at me several times as I am a single petit old woman, ran after me in the stairway yelling at me several times, and told me to leave the mandir and this was reported to the trustee. It seems the trustee does not care. Be aware of this guy. I had witnessed many many incidents at this temple where this guy yelled at many old and disabled old women. One time this young woman, whose background he knew, yelled at her because she was assisting an old disabled woman to get some daal in the little cup placed near water. He yelled at her until she started crying. This is it for me and I am going to Sai Temple at Smart Street in Flushing. I know some one else had called police at this temple. I donot want to do that. This person picks fight mostly with women. Shame to the trustees who are letting paid employees harass people where Sai is watching upstairs. Homeless or doctors or volunteers, rules should be same, either everyone can take pershad or no one???? I have heard him asking doctors and people he favors take pershad and offering them several boxes. Anyway Sai forgive me, if I said anything wrong. The whole staff who works there is watching rice and beans as to how much someone is eating instead of doing work (they are paid for). If there is kitchen, why they are next to tea place cutting vegetables. Another mentally challenged guy who takes food to the bathroom and eats with his hands and comes back from bathroom and pours more food using same hand soiled with food. I believe this guy does not understand but no one helps him when he enters temple for e.g. give him food yourself. Cashiers are not at window and devotees have to wait to give donations. Because they are in basement. Be careful eating food there. Sai baba forgive me for writing the truth. The atmosphere downstairs is very bad and this qurrelsome guy gets paid who should be busy doing his work and not yelling at old women who come there to pray and be peaceful. When I spoke to trustee, I was told to write what happened, so I am writing. Jai Sai Baba please forgive me for writing this. I love ❤️ you Baba. Thank you for doing miracles in our life...
Read moreI had a poor experience at Sai baba temple today, I was there for afternoon pooja. I decided to stay for afternoon serving, while waiting on line for food, I was verbally assaulted by a volunteer/worker why waiting for food. He disrespected me and shouted at me in front of several individuals. He then insisted I leave the premises. I've been to this temple several times and not once have I ever had to hear this atrocious behavior. The temple is a place of worship and love, I did not feel any sort of love or kindness from this individual. Individuals that can not handle pressure or multitask should not be allowed to volunteer or work at a holy place.
CONTEXT** I was waiting on line for food, a lady called me upfront to come as I proceeded to head there, this individual thought I was cutting the line. I tried to explain the situation, however this individual did not have the decency to listen to me and proceeded to shout.
"GET OUT" aren't the words I expected to hear from a temple, shame...
Read moreI love coming to this temple to visit Shridi Sai Baba. Everytime I come I feel that Baba helps me through all the things I go through in this life.
I think the 1 thing I overlook, but bothers me is when the volunteers and the Punditji talks about devotees right in front their face. Many occasions I come and pray and meditate in the main hall and all you hear is the volunteers talking about what region or where certain people are from. I feel it’s a little inappropriate and disruptive when people are trying to pray and all you hear is there conversations. Furthermore, by them mentioning a certain person’s ethnicity or background should not be stated. It creates an unwelcome environment and goes against everything Baba stands for. Shridhi Sia Baba stands for all, so in the temple we should do by Baba’s...
