A Must-Visit—The Ambiance Here Is Absolutely Unbeatable

Well, no waiting on Sunday at 11:30am for table of 4 (Should have known something fishy). Ordered well over 12 dishes from both push carts and self serve counter. Half of the Dim Sum dishes were cold. The push cart ladies were quite "PUSHY" with their goods. Steamed Beef balls were dry and hard, steamed spare ribs was mostly bone with a lot of peanut filling at the bottom, shrimp dumplings were hard and cold, fried turnip cake (lo bak go) was cold and hard. Pork shumai, tripe and shrimp chung fun were ok. The best of all were special ordered pork fried noodle and oyster sauce Pea pod leaves. However, these two were not really Dim Sum dishes. Services were ........ shall I said needed improvement, really a lot of. Yes, we indeed ordered quite a few dishes; however, ~$25 per person is a bit more than what I expected for what we were getting. Maybe my taste were aiming too high...... This place had changed hand many times and it seems to be worst each time. I don't think I'll back anytime soon between the food quality and services provided.

A staple in Flushing, Queens for as long as I can remember. Back in the day, probably around the year 1998, it started as "East Manor." The place was huge, and the interior was stunning at the time. But like most Chinese family restaurants, whatever the reason nay be, the condition deteiotes rapidly probably due to cheap materials and failure to property clean. Not that it matters to me, I'm just there for the good food lol. The dishes were always good, and the prices real solid. Then, the late 2000s to early 2010s came, and this place went downhill. The exterior looked run down, and fewer customers frequented it. After major renovations in the mid to late 2000s, this spot is back on point again. It's now called Good Fortune. I've been here plenty for dim sum and dinners. Everything is good, and they even got twin lobsters specials for $30 bucks eat in only. This place is huge so never really any wait even when it's packed on a weekend dim sum.

I absolutely love this place—it has quickly become one of my favorite spots to visit. One of the first things you’ll notice is how spacious it is. Whether you’re coming with a group of friends or just enjoying a quiet meal alone, there’s plenty of room to spread out and feel comfortable. The layout is open and welcoming, and you never feel cramped, even on busier days.

The food here is another major highlight. Everything I’ve tried so far has been fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. From appetizers to desserts, the menu offers a wide variety of options that cater to different tastes. Whether you’re in the mood for something light or a hearty meal, you’re bound to find something you’ll love.

If you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend coming early. It tends to get quite busy, especially during peak meal times, and arriving early means you can beat the rush and get a good seat. Parking is also very convenient—there’s a large parking lot located in the back of the building, so you won’t have to stress about finding a spot. Overall, this place offers great food, plenty of space, and a...

Standby local dimsum with familiar dishes at a basic price. Lobster special deal one per table was unbeatable just under $10- Wow that's why you should try it it's okay, nothing to crow home about but the price. The remodeling is nice and gives a comfortable experience you may enjoy the views of Bali too. It will help me forget that there are very few Michelin rated places around here and at this price point would be nearly unfathomable. If you don't like strong A/C as it is done in HK this place will suit you well.

Update Sadly, this location has not chosen the excellence path anymore. Do not be blinded by the golden poster outside only there are other posters to consider to look at. There's been a change of some staff and this is patently apparent in the service and manner of service. I hope that they can regain the former glory once more. As of today 9/21/24 perhaps work is still underway to bring specifications to a satisfactory level. Too bad since it's been awhile, see the entrance photo to clarify and it's the Buddha like picture that distracted...
