We saw a fantastic immersive (and interactive) theatrical performance here called Death of Rasputin, which was put on by the extremely talented team at Artemis Is Burning. The performance took place throughout the entire venue using multiple beautifully staged rooms that the cast and attendees moved between freely. The venue and facilities were great, and The Arts Center is very easy to get to as it is the first thing you reach when you exit the Governors Island Ferry. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the entire experience was unique and enjoyable. We talked about it for weeks after and told many more people to attend while the performances were still taking place. The trip to the center is also very enjoyable, as the Governors Island Ferry provides beautiful views of the city during the short several minute ride between the Battery Maritime Building at the southern tip of Manhattan and Soissons Landing on Governors Island. It is worth visiting for the fun trip alone. Thank you to the wonderful team at Artemis Is Burning (Ashley Brett Chipman, Hope Youngblood, Julia Sharpe, Kelly Bartnik, Allison Camali, and the entire cast and crew) for putting on such an amazing show and introducing us to this fantastic Arts Center!
