The store is packed and overflowing with items... I'd guess that part of the reason is the high prices. Prices are the same as new retail items. So you search through overstuffed racks and climb over piles only to find a donated second hand (maybe a bit dirty) item that is the same price as something new from the store. Thrift store are great for the budget, but not this store. Chair $300 King bed set $900 Toy chest $200 Countertop oven $100 Purse $50 Skill saw $50 Fan with broken knob $15 It would be cheaper to just stalk FB marketplace or Craiglist to get items before they end up here, to be marked up from free. This place honestly needs to just sell items by the bag full, and drop the prices to move product... people are constantly dropping off items and the back donation area is overflowing. I donated items and purchase a book (other items were too expensive for the quality). It not worth it to go to a thrift store and pay the same price as new... at least to me. This store thinks it is flipper, but nothing has been cleaned or refurbished... so why the high prices? Also wont be donating here anymore, because of the outrageous pricing.

This used to be one of my favorite places. Now it's stained old navy clothes priced at higher than old navy sales prices. Seriously guys the racks are packed so tight you can afford to price items to move especially since you get them for free and on a constant basis. Stained clothing should be a dollar with the hopes that someone will buy it to at least to upcycle it instead you guarantee its going to the landfill because of greed? I don't even know. While I was there I heard an employee tell someone "no discounts for dirty" which is fair but maybe they shouldn't cost more than the item was new to begin with? The sale tag for a dollar is nowhere to be found in the store most days and you're told you just came in late. (You didn't) and be aware if there is something with no tag and you ask for it to be priced it will be marked up because they think they are holding on to gold instead of a cute design on cheap brand. There are a few gems to be found if you literally go through every item but do the math of your time over just a better thrift store. (And yes that is used old navy sweats for $8 and no they are not on sale)

This store is great! I’ve lived in the neighborhood my whole life and somehow never went in until recently. They have an amazing selection of books— I found so many I’ve been wanting to read and they were in perfect condition. They were also only $1.99 each!! Their CD selection is wonderful. I’m starting a collection and found some gems. Just make sure you check that the discs are inside— I had to bring one back because a disc was missing and the manager was so kind and accommodating. The clothing section is a bit lackluster, but everything else is solid.

I should’ve read the reviews here first but I went to this Salvation Army to donate a huge amount of various goods. Some of them were unboxed and a lot of the clothes were unworn from very good brands. I was too lazy to sell my stuff and I didn’t want to give it to a rip off company like ThredUp because they’re unethical. My SUV was filled from the trunk to the backseat with stuff and I was so excited.

It wasn’t after I donated my stuff that I looked around and saw the prices were HIGH. Ridiculously high. The stuff I have are mostly new, I thought I would be able to help someone who isn’t as fortunate but I think it’s greedy of this store to price so high. A busted up old 20gal aquarium was $39.99 when you can order one from Petco for the same price, brand new and free shipping. They're selling busted up old canvas art for $40+ when you can go to Target and get a brand new one for the same price. Old, beat up books and clothes cost just as much as retail. I'm not trying to insult them but I thought Salvation Army is supposed to help serve the less fortunate with low priced items? Instead, they're ripping people off then have the audacity to respond to reviews here saying that running a business costs money. Yes, it does, but if you price lower, maybe more items will go out the door and more customers will buy. Instead, this store hoards and hoards and expect people to pay $20 for a blender that's missing parts.

What bothered me the most was that while I was donating my items, the employees were digging through my stuff. It seemed like they were calling dibs on some of my stuff before I even finished unpacking anything. I would never...

Nope. The prices are ridiculous. I am all for a good cause, that the money is hopefully going towards helping those in need, but also they need to keep in mind that people who actually shop there are also not the riches. I only went a couple of times during their 50 percent off days, and never again. The same clothing can be purchased just a few dollars more at a chain store but it will be new, clean and contemporary. Shoes I have seen at full ticket price, while being stingy and old. Furniture and household, I'd be terrified touching most of that stuff without gloves. A lot of things honestly should not even be sold as unsanitary, like walkers and other personal equipment. And the prices are so much higher than on marketplace. When you go downstairs, the stuffy humid air with the smell of worn clothes, ugh. Things were messy, hangers over stuffed. Examples of prices, a glass flute $4.99. A plastic kids lunch bag, $12.99. An old, shaky peeling side table, $29.99. A pair of boots with broken zippers (too bad, these were nearly new Fryes) is $100. A pair of kids felt slippers consisting of two left shoes of mismatched size, $7.99... Whoever does the pricing they know brands for sure, you see in their ig posts occasionally a great coach bag or a rare toy. But those items are not there to find. They have some prime items behind the counter. long story short, it's neither fun thrifting experience, nor a place to...

This place is very special. I remember going in here like 17 years ago and all I remember was it was gross and nasty and I never went back. I was a teenager at that time so I figured I will go back and see how it was now nearly 20 years later.. and it winded up being even worse than I remember. From the moment you walk in this place, you just feel icky. I was looking for a specific bag, and I actually found it to my surprise when I opened the purse up, there were bedbugs in the purse. They weren’t alive, but it was just a bedbug dead corpse in the purse I was in shock and my friend seen it as well and we just both couldn’t believe it. She was like close the bag quickly. I was more shocked that the employee didn’t say anything about it because he definitely had to see the bedbugs in the bag. I will never go back to that place for clothes or any kind of purses or anything for that matter it’s just gross they don’t even clean the items. And by the way, I wanted I was talking to the employee and asking him about where the money went to because the items were extremely overpriced. It was ridiculous for these disgusting filthy items. He told me that the profits go to a homeless male shelter in Manhattan. Not a woman shelter. Nothing for children.. a male homeless shelter, which made me not want to shop...
