Bought a Liter bottle of Cognac, Which i buy all the time! After taking it home, and trying it i realized its FAKE OR SPOILED! Not even 30 min later i came back to the store with the same complaint! They look at me crazy, so i ask to buy a $15 dollar bottle of the same cognac which we can try to compare! We let 4 different people in the store try it and its was clear to all the people that it smelled, tasted different !! So, thereafter i asked for a refund to which the store manager said he has to wait for the OWNER to give refunds.. Told me to come back tomorrow after 12 noon and the owner would be there! I came back the next day at 12:30 to only find out that the store owner wouldn't be coming in that day! Came the next day, same result! After a weeks forth of my time, i finally found the owner at the store! (The bottle that i purchase for which i wanted a refund was at the store the whole time waiting for his arrival ) The owner told me hes not a professional Cognac taster and he wouldn't refund me the price of the bottle, also mentioned that hes the nicest guy in the world and refunded a guy for a 200$ bottle of wine once! Like that would make me feel any better ! My buddy had a problem with the same store and told me that he didn't refund him anything either! NOW I'M FORCED TO TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL! BBB AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS! NEVER SHOPPING...
Read moreI have been going to this store for years since they first opened. Lately, they have sneakily been raising their prices on virtually a weekly basis. Instead of doing the fair and proper thing and offering the item for the posted price, he insisted on charging the increased price amount. Due to this customer unfriendly experience, they will have permanently lost my patronage and the sad part is they likely don't even care. Bad...
Read moreThis is an awesome place to shop, if you like to pay $1000 for a $70 bottle of bourbon,
He was selling Van Winkle 12 "Lot B" for $1000! - Retail is $70 on the bottle, and around $300 on the secondary (Craigslist) market. He told me he has to sell at these prices, and blamed Buffalo Trace/Pappy Van Winkle for sending him only a few bottles.
Also selling Pappy 20 for $2500 - retail is normally $150, and Van Winkle 10 for $500! - retail on that bottle is only $40! If you want to be a reputable store, sell at or near retail prices, and leave the price gouging...
